MTB sidi have literally no grip at all on wet stone, be warned.
It’s true
On the other hand they seem impervious to any form of wear and will be around forever when the sun goes out.

Picked up a pair of giro cylinder from CRC - sole seems quite tacky and hopefully they won’t fall to bits like the privateer used to.

Yes! I’ve seen the same. Going to go try some on today

I’ve wanted some new road shoes for ages but my sidis look brand new after 3 years of daily use 🤦🏼♂️

Except for their Boa knockoff, though. But servicing them is quite doable, just a bit finicky.

Penshurst is worth a visit if you can't get to Morzine.

I can give somebody a lift to Morzine from Rambouillet on the 16th of August, but I can't take a bike.

With the exception of smashing my balls on my seat and a dodgy fork I had a super 40km ride round the peaks today. Man is mtb hard work!
Still think I need more gears really

I dunno you managed pick out Barney's derailleur pretty well
-

I dunno, someone with better handling may have avoided it but I’m pretty sure that it was immediately after a jump so I just landed and had no time to stop because they’d crashed across the path. Had both brakes slammed but you just skid on that dusty stuff

Amazing! Is that actually you guys in the video? Top pile up!
@Dammit ok, good to know. That’s a shame but I guess I’ll leave the sidis then.
@Dogs I don’t clean anything so that’s fine. Oooh fizik, I forgot they do cool shoes.
@yakut thanks for your reply. Yes I’d read about the rumble being a bit useless if it gets wet at all and apparently they take an age to dry out if they do get wet too. I’d try yours, thanks for the offer! But I’m right around a 9.5 usually, the 9 might be a bit tight. I’ll look into the others but I wanted something for less than £80/90 ideally since it’s a bit of an experiment initially.
@pit I think I’ll do similar and just wear some proper cycling shoes for riding.
I don’t have any flat shoes that would be grippy on anything wet anyway so I’d need a new pair of something regardless.
The Shimanos are a bit above budget currently.
Thanks all.
