  • Was discussed up-thread, it’s for mounting a front mech. There’s a cable end boss on the seatstay here for the outer, and the cable runs bare at a slight angle.

  • Cold, dark and muddy. What's not to like

    Night Badgers

  • The secret is out!

  • (The actual secret is that I don't even like Van Halen)

  • You take that back 😱

  • I'm sure that the are a few pairs on sale on here currently around about that size as I had been considering get some.

  • The actual secret is that I don't even like Van Halen

    Iron Maiden ftw.

#truefax I played a gig many years ago at a pub owned by a Iron Maiden roadie. We did a jazz version of 'Bring your daughter to the Slaughter'. It didn't go down well...

  • Cheers! I'd forgotten about front mechs!

  • Van Halen - the worst band with the best guitarist.

  • I'd listen to that.

  • Yes I’ve got specialised in 45 that size more like a 44 I think
    £45 posted? Will pm

  • I've booked for the Welsh Ride Thing, run by Bear Bones, from 4th-6th May.
Freeform bike adventure in deepest Wales in aid of the Air Ambulance Charity.
    Who's joining me??!

  • Think I'll be doing this.

  • Toying with WRT, but need to sort a day off work.... in another vein, I want some 29er tyres, at least 2.6 cos of rims, and will work in the mud without killing me.

    What do we know?

  • Hey, utfs didn't turn anything up so asking here. Has anyone used those 5+5mm axle & disc mount adapters to make a front hub work with boost forks? Do they work? The 'el guapo' PX hub I've got is probably a rebranded something else but can't figure out what so can't get different end caps. And almost all forks are 110mm now, seems silly to get a 100mm one because of my current wheels.

  • Yep, I have. Not actually ridden the bike in anger yet, but they work. Bit fiddly to fit, but I'm getting better at nailing the knack. I'm not looking forward to losing one in the mud at some point, but ok as bodge job.

TBH, I can't remember the last time I had to remove the front wheel of my mountain bike whilst out on an actual ride. If you run the front tubeless you could likely fix any deflation issues without removing the wheel anyway.

  • They're really annoying. If you have to take out your front wheel for transportation at all, then don't bother. Otherwise they do at least work with no issues, but I quickly changed my mind and sold the forks to go back to 100mm ones.

  • I'm totally letting my pro sponsor get that new groupset for me

  • It has an "infinite range" which is useful if you're two light years tall.

  • What’s all this AXS stuff then? Etap for mtb?

  • £700 dropper seatpost

  • Well I suppose they got us used to paying £100 and the rest for cassettes

  • I probably shouldn't admit this whilst I'm in the frame to be a SRAM influencer, but I use Shimano cassettes 'cos they are cheaper.
