Any of you guys using an EBB know how much teeth difference you can get away with without having to change the chain length? I'm currently running a 20T on the back and want to go down to a 17T, maybe lower if I can get away with it.

It should be possible, but will depend on the current EBB position. If it's at 9 o'clock then you shouldn't have a problem. I can use a 19T and 15T on the same chain. Your chainring size will also make a slight difference.
I might just be picky, but I can notice the different BB position relative to the saddle, and depending on the riding I'm doing I often have to adjust the saddle accordingly.

Anyone around for a ride next weekend - 20th or 21st ?
-
• #1087
I want to do some easter weekend riding, I'm too busy training on the road bike until then, I'm afraid. Anyone around?

Just back from the Malvern Hills. Great place to ride, lots of sweeping singletrack and muddy bridleways to explore, short hard climbs and quick descents.
Highly recommended.

Was out on the MTB on Friday, 29ers, low tread tyres and Mary bars are not what you want for tricky, twisty downhill descents with lots of slippery mud. Who'd've thunk it...

Can I put in a plea for a ride next Saturday?
I'm not a very experienced rider, but what I lack in experience I make up for in pure terror at the prospect of throwing myself down some of those hills.Wait, I meant enthusiasm.

I won't be able to make next weekend but my Scissor should be offroadworthy in a few weeks and I will be free to ride after the 27th.

Cool, I would be well up for some more riding time. You're a student, right? So at some point we could maybe have a sneaky mid-week session?

I need to get back on the MTB. I can't do w/e but could do an early one next week (as in week starting 19th) some time during the week. Working Thursday / Friday / Saturday I think.

Yup and I finish for summer on the 27th April so anytime after then will be good with me. Mid week would probably suit me better actually as it will leave the weekend free for polo. Prav is also a slacker at the moment so I'm sure he'd be up for it too.

He was such a slacker today that he forgot he was playing polo and came to chat with one of the beards.

Apologies for inviting myself, but i'd be up for some mountain biking during the week too. Recently converted to single speed (32/16) and have yet to try it out long distance, so if its nothing too steep mind if i tag along?
Aces.
Got pork pies, flapjacks and plenty of layers.
