I'm lobbying for Happy Valley to be televised next season.

9sp don't come in a clutched version. The clutch mechs have a button on the cage pivot to lock the cage out to remove the wheel

sounds like you live in the fens (like me!)

What do you think about sizing of yours? The cotic website says I'm basically between a XS and an S.
https://www.cotic.co.uk/product/soul#sizingI'm 165cm. I should be able to make it fit? Identical stacks and a 11mm reach difference...
The nice thing is I've got a friend is currently in the area until Wed and could pick it up for me! Waiting to hear back from the guy. The annoying thing about the forum is I could see he was online when I sent my message. Grrr.

I'm 6'2" and ride the large. It fits well. I think, although still important, frame size is less critical with MTB as it is with road bikes. If you're coming up between 2 sizes then I think either would be fine. I may be contradicted though.

Ahh thanks mate, didnt know that! Is that the same across shimano too?

Thanks! are there rules about new users sending messages to forum members re classified? There was when I purchased my Ritchey on a forum. Hopefully he's getting my messages as it would be rad if my friend could pick it up before she heads back.
I was actually just looking up cycling routes in Norfolk as I want to check out the bluebells. :)

I have finally decided not to use a dropper on my SS. I will find out if this is a poor decision somewhere down the line.
EDIT: 9 days later I bought a dropper. shrugs

Not sure. @TomvanHalen may know?

Less to go wrong at Torq :-)

Again, no 9sp with Shimano. Their clutch mechs have a little lever to turn the clutch on and off, I think the clutch mechs are specified as Shadow+, but I could be wrong. Certainly there are non-clutch Shimano 10sp mechs, whereas the SRAM ones are either less common or non-existent, so watch out

derp

More or less the reason why. Decided for the kind of riding this bike is for reliability and good position are more important, so ordered a Thomson layback and will be done with it.

I don't think so with Pinkbike. If you go to your sent messages unread ones will show a little closed envelope beside them though
-
• #10142
Good to know. The envelope is closed.

I COULD buy a 153.. paging @BareNecessities

• #10144
Thanks for the help mate! Looks like it may be 10 speed then!
-
• #10145
153s are biiiiiig bikes. Like Alpine big.
-
• #10146
How much? I've seen a couple of the 2016 models going cheap(ish)
-
• #10147
From my research the SRAM x9 type 2 are the cheapest clutched rear mechs. The type 1 are not clutched

I need to get my Reverb serviced - any tips on where to take it?

Finally sorted replacement lowers for my sickly Lyriks. Astoundingly, I managed to prep and repaint them, change the seals and fit them all in the space of this afternoon/evening. Touch wood, everything appears to be OK, and I have squish again!
I still haven't warrantied the seatpost though, so there is that. The fully mechanical and serviceable one from e*thirteen is sounding like an awful great idea right now :/
anyone got any sram rear derailleurs knocking about, 9 or 10 speed, the clutched type?
Also how do I tell the clutched apart from the none clutched if im just looking at pictures?
