I hate haribo, would much prefer gels.

yet more proof, as if any were needed, that your contributions to the ride nutrition thread are wrong and evil

I've bought a few bikes from recently and I'm building quite a stockpile of crappy pedal wrenches, flat pedals and half decent multitools.
-
• #280
I still use the free Evans multitool I got in 2010

Woo, my fizik saddle bag snapped at the clamp last week and I've just received notification they have posted me a new one, for free, moar triple haribo?!

my fizik saddle snapped and they are sending me a new one (fizik, not wiggle)

I hope that's a wind up
It was a slow day at work

Super quick delivery from wiggle today, ordered Saturday afternoon - delivered Monday morning, combined with my replacement saddle bag that got delivered to work on Saturday, I now have a tool bottle full of haribo, and another one full of Vitoria pitstop!

Anyone over the age of 10 that admits to liking Haribo is null and void in the realm of food, ride food, enjoyable food or otherwise.

What!!! You mean you don't give the jelly teddies life rings an pretend to be a shark.... what's wrong with you?
-
• #287
As shitted as my tastebuds are, they're not that shitted. Jubes fucking rule though. There's just something wrong with the chewy texture and flavours of Haribo.
-
• #288
Jubes are good, but I never knew their name until now! If only wiggle did skittles

Bassetts jelly babies are about as close as I've found to the stuff I liked in Oz. Those and perhaps the Natural Confectionary Company stuff (which were from Oz anyway, made under license or something).

They really are being knobs now:-

Saw that on twitter, seemed like a non-story, unless Glowinski is claiming dibs on putting stars on jerseys, in which case she might want a word with Greg Lemond, Nelson Vails and every other cyclist who represented the USA in the 1980s, i.e. before Glowinski was out of nappies.
Nobody seems to mind that Rapha built an empire on a design ripped off from cycling history, and the dhb design seems to owe more to Connie than it does to Anna
-

Anna isn't claiming any rights to a star pattern.
What has annoyed her, justifiably in my view, is that Wiggle asked her if she'd do a collaboration with them, visited her for 2 hours where design ideas were discussed, then went quiet, only for this jersey to appear.
Which in my book is pretty despicable behaviour.

^they are all USA flag designs. According to Anna they (Wiggle) came and looked at her designs, discussed a collaboration, then released their version of her design. Knobs.

There's a big difference between a stars motif and a design based on the stars and stripes of a national flag.
The design isn't a straight lift but following a meeting six months ago it does strike me as being sufficient to merit some proportional suspicion
Anna hasn't called dibs on stars. However she does appear to.have

A degree of her brand identity on a stars design. Wiggle are now impinging on her ability to trade on that design.
If you go and look at someone's design and then come up with one of your own that's close to it, I reckon you owe them at least a call before you launch.
Dick move by Wiggle

There's a big difference between the dhb design and the one Glowinski claimed was ripped off. My point is that if dhb had seen only the 1980s USAC kit, they could just as easily have come out with their stars&bars design. When you look at the whole range, it seems more likely that their designers had a World Flags chart on their wall than that they had been looking at other cycling designers for inspiration.

I returned a set of elbow pads and 2 chains to wiggle. They have said I only returned one chain - my word against theirs and they are refusing to refund the 2nd chain.

Is the Ana Nichoola site down for anyone else? I tried it a few days ago and thought it would be just a glitch, but the same today.
-
• #299
It was down for me too.
We haven't seen the designs that were discussed in the meeting but if Anna feels the Wiggle designs are sufficiently close enough to have been taken from her work then I'd say that's a poor show by Wiggle.

If the original purchase was by credit card then make it the CC company's problem.
I hope that's a wind up
