I'm sure they will, cheers Pifko!

I once emailed them about a wheelset about 2 years ago, they never got back to me. Now I ordered a saddle about 10 days ago paying extra for "priority dispatch", they emailed me the same day saying the item is ready for dispatch and that was all the info they provided and I'm still waiting for delivery. That saddle is the last thing I need to be able the ride again, not happy...

The question is, did moonshinewilly ever get redemption?
-
• #130
good question, just read his story, my saddle is peanuts compared to that...
-
• #131
i ordered a chain last week, did not pay for priority delivery, and it arrived 3 days later
from my experience paying for the priority seems to delay things
-
• #132
I have never had any problems with wiggle. They also give you free sweeties
-
• #133
Yep, ordered a saddle a couple of weeks back and it turned up a day later with 2 packs of Haribo. Stoked.
-
• #134
My only gripe is, I got 4 free packs of haribo with a single tyre that cost £13... spent £140 on bits and bobs and didn't get any.... jokers!

^ yeah they're a little inconsistent. Once I got a whole strip of energy get sachets; a good haul.

The other day I was trying to buy something on my phone, and somehow selected priority dispatch rather than the free service, though I was sure I hadn't. I emailed them about it, and asked if they could give me the postage money back and deliver it normally instead. I got a reply within five minutes, and though they gave me a voucher for the value of the priority postage back, I'm pretty sure they still sent it priority. Which was nice.
But, their sweets always have gelatine in.
Nobs.

• #137
If that's because of vegetarian reasons then I'm afraid to say, you're the one being a nob.
-
• #138
So being vegetarian makes you a knob?
Do go on...
-
• #139
Yeah, what's knob-ish about being vegetarian? I'm not, anymore, but don't believe I was being a knob for 19 years.
Anyway, is it 'knob' or 'nob'? I'm confused.

Am Portsmouth based and many of my mates work there; for those reasons I ruddy love Wiggle... (someone cool story bro me please)...

Devious. They want to fatten you up so you spend more time on your bike > spend more money on their site. Genius.

When in doubt, mumsnet has the answer.
So assuming Wiggle were acting in a manner akin to rounded protuberances rather than like people of wealth or social standing, they were in fact being knobs.
When pretending that despite the good customer service I had enjoyed, I was still annoyed with them because their sweets weren't vegetarian, I jokingly used what I assumed to be the incorrect spelling. I don't think it came across though, I think my vegetarianism shines too brightly through.
Anyway, back to Wiggle...

I use them a bit. I like their service and give their horrible Haribo sweets to kiddies (allegedly).

I worked there for a year, and ended up with a lot of bad stories.
For the record, they have no love for you, just your money. It's not about bikes or the love of riding, only profit. Even the events are publicity, they forfeit staff bonus scheme to do them.

Me too. Priority which I didn't think I'd asked for which then took 2 weeks due to stock. Complained and instant refund.
Priority is now the default setting which you have to unchoose at checkout - sneaky eh. Must have changed about 2months ago or so.

Most businesses are this way. In a price driven market it's either this or bust.
