After getting caught in today's deluge, was wondering what shoes are best for repelling water? Obviously not my current Vans.

the overshoes i have and used this morning are incredibly useless at keeping out water.

The gaitors pictured above, with MW80's, were perfect- 100% dry warm feet.

My Lakes leaked this morning as I didn't bother with overtrousers, but despite my socks getting wet my feet stayed warm

Do you not find gaiters leave you sweaty underneath though? I wear them occasionally on mountains, but any protection from long wet grass is negated by the fact my lower legs sweat buckets!

I don't go fast enough to raise a sweat when it's raining hard enough to justify putting the gaitors on.

Ordered the Artic version of those last night. Ill fitting overshoes, and shoes designed with ventilation top of the list of priorities. Is making for very unhappy feet.
Its so fecking cold right now. Froze my right hand solid on a 2.5 hour ride on sunday. The pain as it defrosted is not something I will ever forget.

My friends who live in Norway went to Dubai for Christmas, said that returning to Norway was "interesting"

I've found North Waves always go a bit over the to with venting.

Weathers quite nice TBH. But I dressed and headed on a 2.5 hours ride to my in-laws small holding on saturday morning. But did'nt count on the temperature droping so much by sunday night, for the return journey.
BTW it takes me 1:45, riding fixed, in the summer.

I have aerlites in both road and MTB versions. I rarely use either without thin overshoes.

Links to those pages don't seem to work.
There are some sizes of that model on ebay cheap at the mo' dammit. Note it's worth sizing up with those too.
I've no idea about which models are good though.

To be honest my MW80's are pretty good, you're just putting temptation in my path Miro_o.
How tight are your shoes? I recently got new shoes (cheap DHB summer ones) and overshoes, however it looks like I'll have to get a set a size up for winter as with my thick socks on it's all way too tight and so I had dead feet by the time I got back home yesterday.
