Anybody interested in a pair of these before i put on ebay at the weekend? Only worn a handful of times.

I could be, I've only just started researching , I need a prescription clip in or glue on too, so need to figure that out. Open to suggestions.....alleycat system is £££

Those are AliX glasses with a slick website. You can probably find them on AliX direct for about a tenner, including shipping.

AliX fills me with dread, but perhaps now is the time....

I generally go with polarised glasses from alix, my rational being that you can easily verify that they are polarised, and if they have gone to the effort of polarising then they won't have skimped on the UV protection. Also some reviews with photos just to double check.

I actually went back and bought a few more pairs of the same set that I really liked.

I think all sunglasses - no matter how cheap - are UV blocking. It's a natural property of polycarbonate lens. The no UV thing is to do with older glasses that were made of cheap glass, which isnt naturally UV resistant.

I've been using dirt cheap alix glasses for years. So nice not needing to worry about scratching lenses or the kids nicking them. Only issues have been with bigger cycling oakly knock-offs with interchangeable lenses where the lens switching system just didnt work.

I have an original pair of Frogskins that I'm rather attached to but the lenses are shot.

I've tried a couple of aftermarket options but they are too small.

Does anyone know a place that might recreate the lenses I have for them?

Really? Mine are off of the 80's mind.

I had a pair for ten years and had two new sets of lens put in during that time, no sure if the older age will make a difference or not. I went to the one in Covent Garden.

I need to double check but I think I have these lenses spare:
Grey tint
Blue/purple iridium
Purple Prizm

The grey lenses were used a bit but the others are brand new as I used the frames for my prescription as soon as I bought them.

No idea on price, is £20 a set fair? If you’re interested I’ll dig them out and take some photos.
