You're not going to use some nasty composite cork from an aussie/yankee bottle, are you?
I can help you with my unlimited supply of champagne corks: Pommery, Henriot, Laurent-Perrier...Composite? I have no idea, but I can promise you I won't use that horrid plastic-y crap they've been using lately. And I don't mind screw-tops b/c I would rather finish the bottle that night rather than put the cork back in (unless it's port, which I am sorely missing). And yes, please! Pick two lovely specimens you feel you can part with and show up to Wests. I'll happily take them off your hands. Probably buy you a pint, too. What part of France did you say you were from, southern? My friend's from Nantes, is that in the middle? (refuses to look at a map this second)

Nantes is West, like nowhere near South East. And yes, I meant these plasticy ones (still better than screw-on I guess)! I don't know if I'll make it to West next week or ever again for that matter -I fear for my saddle, see pic above- but I'll keep some for whenever I see you.

Corks are an outdated method for sealing wine bottles. Screw tops ftw
Yes, screw those tops completely. Stick with corks.

You can't plug bar ends with screw tops like you can with corks.

"A few French experts have stuck their necks out to sing the praises of the screw cap - but they are in the minority. Maybe when French wineries start bottling their premium Bordeaux wines with screw caps, we will know that they have achieved acceptance. In the meantime, it seems change is likely to move at the pace of a maturing fine wine - all in good time."
