Just had a call from manager.
He apologized for chef's behaviour and was surprised when i said that the quality of the food went down.
He said that he's only receiving compliments about the food and that sales went up.He also said that there'll be some free tapas for us next week (more soggy chips!) as an apology.

interesting conversation
when i started talking to the manager he said he did not want want to discuss the matter as he had already talked about it with Ada
i had to ask him a couple of times to listen to what i had to say, which in fairness he did
he blames a lot of the bad food on the old chef, and said that everyone else gives positive feedback on the food
i pointed out that subsequent to the mussels meal which i returned i have not ordered food but have tried peoples chips which have been either undercooked or prepared in rancid oil. i was told that Sam was fired after he sent out the mussels to me like that. i was assured that nothing is cooked from a packet.
the manager was keen to stress what a favour it is that we are allowed to keep our bikes in the beer garden, and that they let us reserve a table, i made appreciative noises about those things, though do think that given the volume of business we bring on a Thursday and that it does not greatly affect other customers this is a minor concession
next week we are getting free food, and have been asked to give feedback then
i personally feel this has got to last chance saloon time

Someone snap pictures of the food next week. I would be interesting in seeing what they do. I can believe that they are still getting good comments from other people in the pub. Probably just people new to the Raven that don't know how good the food used to be.

That pub is shit. It only lets you in because it's shit, if it wasn't shit and was full of customers they'd kick you and your fixie bikes out quicker than a prozzie getting dressed*.
I think finding a pub that you can go to on a Thursday every single week that sells good food, good beer and lets you have free reign with your fixie bikes is a bit of a tall order. Thursday is the beginning of the weekend dontchaknow?
