Either or. I like what was in the blurb about The Rose "come and enjoy a chilled glass of wine or pimms in our rose garden..."
Does anyone remember that scene from the Blues Brothers where they go to the restaurant?

IN this week and really looking forward to it. i've only been in london for 1 thursday in the last 4, and i was too busy to make Wests.
Si, I am seeing a business contact at the Sloaney at 7, then looking to roll on to the decided venue, once agreed.

I still like the Pear Tree but we may no longer be welcome.
No, I gave the table cloth back, honest..

My Probation Officer said that my argument, that I thought it was a top Chefs head scarf was almost believable, so I am sticking with it....

who fancies trying The Raven?
-
• #20188
Rather the Rose but indifferent. The Raven looks a bit naughty - a bit of a scar bar.
-
• #20189
either, I don't mind, do we know if we have a direct access to the rear garden?
-
• #20190
Raven - yes, don't know about the rose.
-
• #20191
i know the raven does, there's a bloody great big entrance :)
-
• #20192
I'd vote for the raven, the rose is off the kings road, doesn't feel west at all...

Okie dokey - just spoken to the Assistant Manager at the Rose, she sounded *really *keen, and not averse to setting up some sort of deal - the menu has been updated and is "fantastic" now. I said there was a core of 6-12 folk, and more sometimes. She agreed that it would be good for them and for us to strike some sort of deal.
They've lost the key to the side door, but will look into getting the bolt cut off and a new one put on. They don't mind us bringing the bikes through the pub in the mean time.
How about going there next Thursday (I'm not around tomorrow) ... getting a feel for the place. I can call by tomorrow lunchtime and have a chat with her.

@L&W - I have tomorrow off if you fancy some (inoffensive) support.
This sounds very promising.

Cool - will pm you.

What was the place on Goldhawk Rd (or around that area) with a fussball table, decent food and tables out the front?
I doubt my vote carries much weight as i never fucking come anymore, but I liked it there.
