Our bike storage problems were getting out of hand, so we turned the front room into a dining room/gym/bike workshop, mostly by getting what's best described as a pair of bike wardrobes made, complete with some storage bins below the hanging space.
There are LED down lighters in the top of the hanging units for a bit of a light wash at night.

God knows, that first one took two days total to make! Will look for ways to make them faster and see where that gets us...
Watch this space. -

Flats where i live has £600 ish set aside to built outside bike storage in our bin area. Probably needs to be 4 bikes minimum, in a low crime area. everything i've seen so far looks like a farce to get bikes in and out. Any recommendations?

They don't meet with the approval of the interior decoration committee so I've got basically a box of those going spare.

Rearranged my room and made space for 4 bikes against the wall, held with the clug stuff. Could squeeze another bike with some moving around.

I have posted about my bike-indoor-shed before, here are the pictures again. I will have to move out soon, and it's very likely this will not fit in the new place. Is there anyone interested in it? Not sure about the price, I built it myself, it's very sturdy and strong, heavy as well. It is 100cm wide, 73cm deep, 240cm tall at the hangers tips, shelves at 45 and 80cm from the bottom.
Only problem is I built it inside, not sure I can get it out as one piece.
Let me know if interested, I will let you know more details when I have a move out date.

They're perfect for what I need. I was going to go for hooks but these are more convenient, look neater and it's easier to get the bikes in and out.

Ok here's the situation. We've found a flat. There is no room inside for me to keep my bikes. We do have gated parking and a parking space against a wall. In theory I see no reason why I cant put a small shed, locker thing for storage on it.
Anyone got any suggestions that will fit the bill?
Also has anyone ever used one of these bike tent things? Might be alright as a stop gap?

what's theft like in your area?
This seemed interesting - the residents of Bonnington Sq in Lambeth seem to have been able to get the council to install covered bike storage in exchange for its upkeep, and it fits in a car bay - http://www.lambethcyclists.org.uk/2011/08/radical-new-cycling-parking-facility.html
maybe something to propose to the freeholder (unless that's you)?

Theft in the area is kind of high I think recently. Lots of reports of raided sheds but I've little other option. Thought I think getting into the gates is a deterrent for starters. Either that or I just lock it to a post and cross my fingers which isn't the best idea.

Unfortunately its not as was as that. Budget, available places, time constraints mean this is the situation. Otherwise that would be what id have done . So I've got to make the best of this situation
