Loving those bikes.

They look good and the sort of thing I'm after, what are they? Lovely bikes btw.

Great, thank you.

Has anyone here done a hybrid of vertical racks with a wheel rack underneath? i.e.
with 4 of these
above and spaced in between the ones on the floor.
I need to find a way to store 9 bikes without taking up the entire side of the house. Security is not an issue. -

I like the look of them as well, but concerned about security given it will be visible from a main road and housing an e-cargo bike. The "Are Brighton Bike Sheds secure?" section in the FAQ does sound like they are pretty well engineered but if anyone has some real world experience I would be very interested too!

Does anybody have experience of the Halfords bike pulley system?
-
• #1485
Looks the same as the Lidl/Aldi one, I found the hooks were the wrong shape and rope would often pop off the pulleys.

They're pretty good as long as you have the ceiling height to make use of it

I have one that I got about 12 years ago from eBay, but it looks the same.
I used it for storing a tandem and it was fine. Also doubled up as a workstand before I got a proper workstand. Not using mine now, but they are a great way of storing something you wouldn't otherwise have room for.
I never had issues with mine popping off. I felt happier hooking onto a rack, where bikes had it, than to saddle rails. However it was always ok either way. The hooks are adjustable, you can spread them out or make them narrower depending on what you are fitting to. Maybe the devil is in the detail with these things?

I simply placed hooks at the top of the wall near the ceiling to accomplish this. Helps the bikes to lay flat against the wall.
ignore the cargo bike.

Thinking about investing in one of these: https://bikebox.london/
This seems the best option as I don't have direct access to the rear garden. My partner has given me a clear no when it comes storing bikes in the house.

Need some of those hooks, my wife is driving me crazy with the bike in the house ;)

Temp storage is beginning to come together.
Need boxes next to it. Probably IKEA it.
@dbr’s system still going strong in the new place.
Bromptons in the closet.

Just ordered a six bike shed and will report back...
Other alternative was Bristol Bike Sheds but they wanted bespoke money, admittedly their workmanship looks absolutely top notch.
BBS have good rep on interwebz.

It's still top of our list (once we finally sort the front out) so will be interested to hear what it's like.

Those little pedal wall hangers; is there a particular type for road bikes so they hang tighter to the wall? Or is there an easy way to mod them?
-
• #1498
If you have a vise and a hammer it's not that hard to mod them. The 'Point' ones are quite thick steel though.

That looks super neat!

Got new wall mounts today.
I was looking for cheap versions of Clug on AliExpress and those came up. That was a RISK I was willing to take.
They come with a 3M sticky pad so you don't have to drill.
Will report back once fitted.

Has anyone on here used https://www.brightonbikesheds.co.uk/ They look a bit nicer than the green ones but not sure if they're as secure.
