The Bridge House on Tower Bridge road. They have rooms up and down stairs. Good food and good beer. Bit pricy though.

The Barrowboy and Banker lets you reserve space.

What about the Roebuck, the forum's South East beers location? It's certainly pretty roomy, and not much more than 5 minutes (or 10 minutes pissed up) walk from London Bridge. Not sure if they reserve, think they may have an upstairs, and some great beers (meantime).

Skinners on Duke Street has a perfect size area at the back you can reserve. No idea if it costs or anything. Nice pub, good beer.

Roebuck is fun - and they do a good spoken word night - but space a bit big for what I'm planning (intimate birthday thing). Cheers for all the advice - am gonna start checking in a min. Keep the ideas coming though ...

The Hide, Bermondsey Street has a great atmosphere and a nice back room which can be reserved

The Roebuck has an upstairs (that I have never been in) that they use for quiz nights (or possibly wife swapping) on a Tuesday- might suit?

Can you believe the owners of the "red door" in Notting Hill had to change the colour as they were tired of all the tourists coming up and taking photos. Taking fucking photos! Of a fucking DOOR! Because fucking Hugh Grant went through it!
Fuck me sideways.

We should get some Tesco beers soon, Mike. You spend too much time West.

Ha!
I went in there once, 'by mistake'
Hey,
Does anyone know a pub in SE1 (pref close to London Bridge) where I can reserve a table/space for 20-25 people on a Friday night?
Has to serve ale and serve some kind of food.
Ideal would be somewhere not ridiculously busy. I checked out Bunch of Grapes (which would have been ideal) today but they said Friday night too busy to reserve anything.
Any recommendations appreciated.
cheers
