first post!
saw a guy this morning at the junction of Lyndhurst Way and Peckham Road on a nice brown fixie looked like a charge plug (can you get a brown one?) with a brooks saddle. he ran the lights, got stuck in the middle of the road and couldn't get his sidi back in the pedal to make it to the other side. didn't spoil the overall effect though. -

Followed a bloke through Battersea Square, across the river and up Royal Hospital Rd and Ebury St yesterday about 8.20am. I was in the car (not by choice) and didn't get a good look at his bike - think it was a burgundy track frame, sloping top tube. He was wearing tights AND baggies, but I liked the fact that he had tiny cut-down bars but the most bandy-legged rding style I've ever seen, making him about five feet wide again... Anyone on here? And how about some compensation for the row of tiny dents your left knee left in my Lexus?

• #917
how about soem compensation for driving around in a lexus??
-
• #918
saw a guy last night behind South Bank Uni wearing threequarter length flared dungarees on a fixie

CHUG_IT how about soem compensation for driving around in a lexus??
Very kind of you to think of me, but I was absolutely fine in there - warm, dry, air con set to 21.5 degrees, heated seat set to 'lightly-grilled', a little Gil Scott-Heron on the 11-speaker, 600W stereo, coffee in the cupholder, no congestion charge to pay because it's a hybrid, wondering why I ride fg so much...

A hybrid? WTF?! Between a car and what, a boat? :-$
-
• #921
Sounds like a hybrid between a nice bloke and a CUNT, to me.
-
• #922
Now now, don't be haters...
It's a petrol-electric hybrid, like a Prius. Drives electrically, silently and emissions-free some of the time in town, but more importantly stops its engine when stationary at the lights or in a jam. But I'd still rather use a bicycle to cross the English Channel than use a car of any kind to cross London... But if I have to get to some tiny village in the back of beyond, then it's car all the way...

Sano
TheBrick(Tommy)
flickwg @sano - kids track bike for your friend?
Sano That's what I'm thinking, but I'm buggered if I know where to get them...
Any suggestions?
How about a childs racing bike (steel), take it to a framebuilders, get some track ends put on and a respray while you are at it.
If you are getting it resprayed anyhow the trackends will not cost much more and a child racer will be cheapish any how and it would turn out nice in the end.
Not a bad idea...
I saw they have some teeny track bikes at Herne Hill - anyone know who made them/where they come from?
Thanks
Hey sano,
i've seen kids track bikes on some of the cycling forums classifieds, can't remember which tho
