some rider I almost had a head on collision with as I approached 93ft east on brick lane last night. Very very close!

A fleeting glimpse of white frame, fluoro pink rim & possibly a knitted beanie shooting passed the Engineer about 6pm last night.
Mr Tynan?
Yep, that would have been me !

On the way home from a busy day being spotted.

Ahhh, cool. Nice to meet you.
I gather that bikes are only allowed up the side up the side that you went, then?
I got a telling off from the Wiggams for riding up the other side about a month ago.
Cheers for the advice :)

RPM was that you I spotted yesterday on Camberwell New Road, at the Kennington park end?
I saw a couple of riders on that road, the chap that nodded was tall with glasses (I think)
and another guy, with helmet if I remember nearer kennington..I would have been in a hurry

Richie.likewise - do you live round there?
to be honest, i don't no for sure what the deal is on that stretch of pavement but i ride on it everyday and i've been spotted loads by feds (even rode past bobbies on foot a few times) and never been pulled up on it. the lights wouldn't make sense if you couldn't cross the street on your bike so i guess if i was ever asked, that would be a good excuse.see ya around :)

couple spottings just now on my way back from oxf st. first a young courier on a fuji track frame stopped right infront of me without checking behind him an knocked me off my bike, grrr, then i saw some joker on theobalds road causing a cauffafle(dunno how to spell that) and then me laughing and nodding to him i think he did a lil skid, and then 2 young boys on track bikes on liverpool road literally looked so young!

I go up and down Clerkenwell Rd/Old St twice a day. Someone spot me!
So do I.. you spot me first and I'll think about it. What bike do you ride?

Why should he be having to check behind himself to see if anyone is right up his arse?
Brakes don't stop instantly, so surely you were too close to him and should have been paying more attention to what HE was doing? -

I ride past the Foundry twice a day. Every evening there are bucket loads of hipsters and crumbly fakengers sitting outside but none of them have yet had the courtesy to spot me.
-
• #7321
Maybe that's cos the foundry is where messengers hang out after a hard days work, and they'd rather be drinking and laughing at people trying to be spotted than playing guess who on here?

the foundry has to be one of the shittest pubs in london. i'm surprised that those owning a bike would choose to cycle there for a beer.
