yeah, scrambled eggs, with a splash of double cream instead of milk. chuck a bit of smoked salmon on it and you've got a decadent sunday morning breakfast.
That's my supper sorted with the discounted smoked salmon I brought earlier from Waitrose £1.50).

fuck all this swirling. wrap the eggs in cling film and chuck them in
fuck dat. How is all the seasoning supposed to get to the poor yellow heroes if they're all Durex'd up?
Swirling is not necessary either - it's all about controlling the temperature of the water: bring it up to a rolling boil and then knock it back to a simmer so the water is calm when you break the eggs in. Make sure to add a splash of white wine vinegar and a dash of salt before you add the eggs.
Using fresh eggs is the most important part though - they stay together much better and never separate. -

If you can't poach an egg correctly then you are not a real man.
Sorry Henry ;)

I was given a microwave egg poacher as a flat warming present (along with a microwave oven chip browning plate, not sure they had much faith in my cooking ability) did use it once, eggs were ok but it took nearly half an hour to clean the welded on egg from the plastic cup thing. Realised in that time I could have cooked and eaten half a dozen eggs made the trad way. Now the thing acts as a drip tray under a dodgy radiator valve.
Still prefer scrambled eggs.
