What was going on at E&C tonight? Anyone know why the exit towards Kennington was closed?

They've dug up the road on the CS7 crossing. Dunno why. Had a look at the bits they'd been working on but couldn't see anything obvious.

It was also very bad in the morning at about 9ish which I assume was when they started, because in the morning it was temporary light-controlled. Northbound traffic can still go through but obviously most of the traffic going through there is going to be heading south in the evening. I use the E&C bypass so didn't see any of it but I can imagine it must have been absolute chaos.

Er... All you had to do was ride through the cones, blissful car-free section of Kennington Park Road... For once...
Pigs waved me straight through...

dafuq? I didn't see no pigs nor cones at Kennington Park Road, and it definitely weren't car-free neither.
Have you been taking mind-altering drugs?

Police had blocked off Newington Butts to motor traffic when I went through at 6.30-7pm-ish... Just bikes and traffic turning onto KPR from side streets... Blissful...

I had a dirty bird sandwich from Raw Duck by Hackney Central, so I beat you all :)
Also poached eggs are easy, water slightly bubbling, add slug of vinegar, spin the water round with a slotted spoon until it's going quite fast.
Then break egg (or eggs) slowly into the middle and turn off the heat after a minute. The water will carry on cooking the egg, just take it out when it's perfect.

I never got the swirly method to work.
Instead: get ladle, half fill with simmering water from the pan, crack egg into ladle, gently submerge egg and tip it slowly out of the ladle. Repeat until required number of eggs is in pan.

Scrambled eggs are much nicer.

yeah, scrambled eggs, with a splash of double cream instead of milk. chuck a bit of smoked salmon on it and you've got a decadent sunday morning breakfast.
not to derail an egg conversation, but I take it there are no couriers on here? otherwise bloke from city sprint, combat shorts, brief chat at holborn circus. forgot to ask if you were on here.

The fresher the eggs the better...the whites will combine around the yoke in a more uniform fashion. The whites in old eggs tend to disperse around the pan
DASd Jammy just now on Parkway in Camden outside the Jazz cafe. Heading home after Regents Laps?
