ive been here in barcelona for a few days now. there are a grand total of three fixed gear riders here. fucking late adopters...
-
• #5181
Two riders one on red bike, the the other on a blue one. Neither apparently could read a sign that said 'Pedestrian walk way cyclists dismount" (the channel along brick lane) so when the both tried to filter into the walkway one had to swerve to avoid the pedestrian with a walking stick (me) thus forcing the blue one to collide with the other rider and fucking there front wheel. Only then to blame me for being in the way! Cunts. If I wasn't still in recovery i'd seriously resorted to violence.

You had a walking stick! I would've resorted to violence in the first instance.
Cyclists are Cunts.

i am currently running a Phil Wood fixed/fixed hub. i have the sprocket it one use side, but get this, to avoid the problem of the lockring coming undone i run it on the other side. pure genius if i say so myself.
Light years ahead, jaydubya, altuough I expect nothing less.
I have a fixed/free hub. I use a lockring on the fixed side, but run a fixed sprocket on the other side without which I never use.
Hence I run a trendy "suicide hub" in complete safety.

@dulwich Ha, that would have been Sano, who was chipping off suspiciously early. Oh and spotted, my chief executive using the phrase "dark times" yesterday. Dark times indeed. I have no idea whether he rides a monogeared bicycle, but suspect that, as he lives on a boat, he doesn't. Harbourenger.

Saw le car yesterday evening on new oxford street. I would have shouted but the inhabitants of the bus world would have looked at me a bit funny.

i like that kowalski, the trendy "suicide hub" - apart from Off the Peg I think 2009 will be all about the suicide hub. though I am also working on getting a two bolt chainring on something like a 26mm BCD - taco inducing style. i think it could be where it's at in 2010.

I've got some spare light bulbs if he's run out? ;)

Lose the catty food and hide.
my friend down in london bought a unipack for 130....sadly his knowledge isn't too good about bikes hence why he bought it..... i suggest he buys an old racer for my local car boot sale for £20 and just put the 700 wheels from the uni pack onto an old racer frame and just strip all the stuff off the racer.
could have an alright little bike, i know the deep profile wheels he got with the unipack quality wont be that good but they could last him until he upgrades.
