on clerkenwell road this morning, an awe-inspiring Off the Peg double. first, a girl on a Charge Plug, completely uncustom, then someone on Lemond Filmore, kept in absolutely perfect original form - still using the Off the Peg innertubes it came with. beautiful.
i might wait until the 09 Filmore comes out - and put in a sneaky bid

jonny's better looking, better half, hester with whom I had a nice chat and a leisurely ride into auntie beeb's hq,
as well as a blonde girl, sunglasses, on what looked like an old raleigh, white frame, diagonal blue paint/decal on the down tube, heading up along kensinghton gore/ kensington road, towards knightsbridge, we nodded at each other in acknowledgement of our fixed gear ness.
welcome to the party.....

If the crims get to know about how shit the unipacks are, it could be a great way to hide in plain site. Make your nice bike look like a unipack and they will leave it alone?

pure Off the Peg slander ;)

SPOTTED:
Teenslain. outside BC.
a good shop, that BC. decent chaps, with some lovely bikes and frames in there, OTP naturally
-
• #5161
RPM outside BC buying a boutique lock-ring... How the other half live! That Roberts is well OTP!
-
• #5162
RPM you ridin two sprocks on that then?
-
• #5163
i am currently running a Phil Wood fixed/fixed hub. i have the sprocket it one use side, but get this, to avoid the problem of the lockring coming undone i run it on the other side. pure genius if i say so myself.

I'm already on to this tactic.
spent a fortune building a bike, stepped back to look at it and realised in looked like a unipack

one for track and one for road.
but I just got a 20t in case I need to bail the DD and get to 67 GI which is really gay.
I just like to build up a selection of cogs and chainrings, to cover all angles.
It would be a really good idea to invent some kind of cluster of cogs that you could select at will whilst riding, I'll look into it ;)

gramps, i ride 67" and didn't see you much at the front on the way to oxford?!? -
• #5171
only for the first 40 miles, just before you decided to do the David Bellamy bit
although I fail to see what riding at the front to oxford has to do with my personal gear choice, I'll be slow whatever I use.I can switch between 71 and 67 without messing the chain, all is good!

plus alot of people who looked like they would ride fixed bikes not on bikesYeah that was mine. Majorly dissapointed by that band nowdays, all the new songs sound like the old ones but longer and more boring. Time to split up i think before it gets even worse. Shame.

I basically went just to buy a new t-shirt and to see the shitty limits more.
I've skipped seeing them the last few times they have played and will prob not bother again.
I've got fond memories or the double set at old blue last and the new years eve show i should have left it at that i think. -

Shitty Limits were band of the night by far!!
