Some bloke try and race me on his OTP (OTP!) £100 Halfords full susp rust bucket - he very nearly fall off his bike just from the effort of riding it up the slight hill on Holland Park Ave (Eastbound). Slipped off both pedals and smacked his balls on the top tube & nearly keeled over. PMSL. How I love Summer! :D

you should have reversed, then track-standed on his spine for a few minutes, shouting ' HOWS YOUR SUSPENSION NOW?'

Some bloke overtook me on a red track bike with green v's as I slowed to gaze at Holdsworth's. My commute was made a lot more fun trying to keep up with you over Barnes common.

I had a nice ride in this morning behind (occasionally in front of) tall guy on black Veto frame with red rims (not deep section) and red anodised bars. We both rode from Dalston to Bloomsbury occasionally taking different little shortcuts and exchanging the 'lead' (though we weren't racing per se). First time I've ever done the whole way from Stoke Newington to Fulham without leaving the clips.

I think they must be getting used to blokes on mono geared bicycles turning up and leering through the window.
But spotted - lots of you at Central Drinks last night, good to catch up with some people I've not seen for a while and thank you for treating Lady Snowy kindly. She still thinks we're geeks. This will change when her new bike arrives.

New bike paranoia! I got swiped by a coach around the Wandsworth roundabout when I bought Bluey bike a couple of years ago, so I walked her to the tube and pootled home the long way via the river. Soz, should have told you.
You didn't scared her, i think her comment was "they all seem quite normal and then they start obsessing over sprockets or something"! We need to speak again about the shed parties...

Ah sorry!
**Spotted **- lots of protesting road hauliers on Albert Embankment trying to drown out my cries of "Do a skid" and "Ride a bike" with their big horns, as I tried to get round Vauxhall Cross.
**Spotted - **Mr Policeman parked in the middle of the cycle lane on the pavement. Just cos I tut you for your idiotic parking, it doesn't mean you can try and jump in front of the bike.

Thats me, am new to the world of fixed gear bikes and absolutely loving it, took advice from friends and jumped in at the deep end.
I probably dont need to mention the childlike thrill of cranks racing round, feet feeling like they are circling faster than road runners, finding a line through traffic, reducing my commuting time by 30%, feedback through the pedals etc.
This is fast becoming one of my obsessions (along with music, dancing, competitive fencing and yoga). In 2 weeks time the fencing season ends and then plan to join the trixie dix and learn to trackstand and skid.
