Air saddle? A concealed compressor blows a jet of warm air out the top of the seatpost supporting the rider on a hovercraft style cushion of air.
If that ain't the reason then I'm off to the patent office with that.

I think you'd need to wear a rubber skirt for that to work...

Pressurised air, rubber clothes... what could possibly go wrong?
Pretty effective crash protection though.

film crews are annoying. With the last film crew that was in, the main actress kept getting the runner to empty out her half drunk cups of tea when they got cold and make her a new one.

Do it. Free reign to ramble on to you hearts content without ever having to explain yourself can only be a good thing!

Someone who looked like oat44, but was probably not oat44 as he wasn't riding oat44's bike (unless oat44 has another bike), on Shaftesbury Avenue. I was riding a pink lo pro and making a contemplative expression with my face.

That would be me :)
I didn't expect Ken to stop so quick, and I had nowhere to go. Camera man, who was on a way, seemed a safe and soft option.

Some guy on a red geared Cervelo or Specialized hooning it passed me on the Northern side of Waterloo Bridge heading Southbound with a stuffed messenger bag, lock around his waist and keys a jingling n jangling. I was right behind you all the way until I passed you near The Cut, then you ran a red to get away at the roundabout joining London Road... Tsk Tsk. The rest of the journey home seemed boring.

Someone the other day riding fixed between somewhere between stokey and Victoria, with an awesome white helmet (no euph) with coloured stripes on it, full head cover thing, looked like Eddie the Eagle. Where did you get that from? It was sick.

A white Planet X Pro Carbon Track (I think) with bullhorns and front brake along Victoria Embankment (?) yesterday afternoon, around 17:40 or something. If I remember corretly the rider was wearing a flourescent jacket...going fast!
We went past an open cyclesurgery but yes I admit your sensible answers are probably closer to the truth.
