  • this morning you saw Shinscar

I to saw the ladyboy at Borough this morning.

  • this morning you saw Shinscar

i concur. And his acceleration is impressive.

  • Might be Katrina????

Very light jeans..... my arse. I think not.

My daily commute is now literally 2mins long

    Spotted: no-one*

    :-(

    *except fluro, tabard nodders

I miss bumping into you on Brixton Rd. How's the dirty north and the other bump?

  • Chap at the top of Parkway about 10mins ago having a spat with a driver. Powder blue Roberts, white catlike helmet, rapha rain jacket. Thought it was OwenReed so shouted "you ok owen?". After stopping, I don't think it was Owen after all. Anyway, you seemed intact...

That could have been Robert Elms off the radio and telly and stuff. He's got a blue roberts and he lives on Albert street somewhere.

  • Possible Furious Tiles spot going around Shep Bush Green yesterday evening. I was waiting at the lights near Uxbridge road when you zoomed past on a yellow road bike heading toward Holland Park Roundabout.

  • a spinny spinny polo bike emerging from Asylum Road onto the OKR this morning, rider in a black jacket with black Timbuk2 bag and black hair, riding a dark burgundy frame with interesting brakes on the rear - kind of like the BMX-style ones that sat under the chainstays of some early mountain bikes and got mightily clagged up, but mounted on the seatstays.

I admired your acceleration away from the lights - you won't have seen me, as I am in slow mode after about 6 weeks off the bike due to illness.

    thats me. whoop.

  • this morning you saw Shinscar

Thanks for that Jonny - it reminds me of the time I described to an ornithologically-inclined colleague some weird birds I had seen at about 3.30am flying among the trees by a gravel pit in darkest Buckinghamshire as I was riding from Oxford to London back in June. "This morning you saw nightjars", I was told.

I'll know what to shout next time. I came up Asylum Road today, reminded by having read yesterday a law report about a couple (Mr & Mrs Ogilvie) who were retired innkeepers and were trying to avoid being evicted from the very fine Asylum for Decayed Licensed Victuallers down there.

  • nightjars.. a bird that can catch moths and large insects by skilfully hovvering above hedgerows..
shinscar .. a rider that eats tarmac for breakfast and leaves spectators in awe..

    both fine species..

  • London's famous Frank passing me in the op direction on the HH. I was setting off late for work - again. It's unlike you to be up so early!

  • I spotted adoubletap's famous Parlee/Super Record riding fella this morning. He must have more money than sense riding a bike like that on shitty mornings like this one.

  • Yesterday morning - dude on a white brakless alu track bike, clipless, drops, Rapha winter hat, Old Street. And Bainbridge, was that you on Parliament Square yday morning also? If not someone's stolen your bike and face.

This morning - dude on a Fuji track ('09 I think) with MKS Sylvan pedals, Old Street. No other fixie skidders to be seen on the spice route...

Is it a black Parlee with red tape and tyres? Head to toe Castelli?

  • Black parlee with white logos. Can't recall the tape colour but think the tyres were red. They guy riding it needs to work on his cleat engagement technique, he's very slow away from lights as he dangles his foot over his pedal desperately trying to clip in.

  • I also spotted JJS riding home last night, he was racing a Franco Pellizoti lookalike in Dulwich Paragon kit all the way down the Walworth Road.

  • mr and mrs buddha fingaz, Villars, Switzerland,
    great having a beer buddy.

Likewise! Was great having a few drinks with you and Lizzie à la buvette! Hope you enjoyed the rest of your time there

  • Black & white Rossin along Essex Road / Angel this morning. Jeans, black cap, black bag. Morning...

  • Rode in with Damo this morning. He was cruising, I was going at (my) race speed in an effort to keep up.... I managed a first. I made it all the way to work sans unclipping/touching the ground. Oh yeah!

  • Possible Furious Tiles spot going around Shep Bush Green yesterday evening. I was waiting at the lights near Uxbridge road when you zoomed past on a yellow road bike heading toward Holland Park Roundabout.

The bike is more orange than yellow but if it was around 6.30pm, then yes it was probably me.

Saw Tika last night on Essex Rd, always a pleasure.

  • Lovely yellow Roberts frame, with gold chainring,Brookes leather bag and risers on Euston road (going west) - I was waiting to turn right into Marylebone High St on the other side of the road

Behave, you were chatting all the way.

Hope you managed to dry your stuff out, without using the oven or getting caught using the oven.

    Thats me :)

  • Nice bike. Your face looked as unimpressed with the weather as I felt.

No-one will spot me today, I pussied out and got the tube. Legs still felt like lead after football in the ice rain last night.

Haha, cheers, yes i was very unimpressed with the weather and the prospect of going to work :)

  • Edscoble (I think), in Full City cycles 10 mins ago as I wheeled out the racing green Brompton I'd just purchased for the missus. I unhelpfully muttered 'Edscoble?' and gave you the eye on my way out
