That felt SO GOOD!
Just got home, rode from Clerkenwell to Wimbledon, by Tooting the snow was already covering the road, and the lovely crunchy feel of the snow is something I can't get enough of.

Snow riding ftw!

Just had a good time riding in the snow, a much shorter distance, but I'm always delighted to experience that before it's all been turned into ice.

Hi to the guy riding fixed (nice steel frame, grey or greyish-purple colour) on Battersea Bridge at about 8:45 or 8:50 this morning. Damn few cyclists out at all; you and I were the only fixed riders I saw at all on my route today.

It's a Fat Frank, which seemed to grip better than the Big Apple (the BA is slicker).
grip surprisingly well.

Damn - why didn't I put my mtb together last night. Why? Why?
Still - I don't suppose it'll melt too much today so should be good for a crunchy morning tomorrow.

I got in today. 20km over a load of ice. And not on fixed, I'm ashamed to say. Could have done with some chunkier tyres.

I rode in, it wasn't too bad just the odd dickhead driver insisting on overtaking when it was icy and we were doing the same speed anyway (must be a pride thing can't travel slower than bicycle) spraying me with slush off the road.
Roads were a bit sketchy at points but not too bad.

Fuck that icy slushy shit.
Got home, realised I needed to go to the office to do work on the mac so had to resort to using the tube.
I feel dirty.

great riding around beautiful london today.
Finsbury Park-Brixton-Bermondsey-Finsbury Park
All easy as remembered not to brake/turn when on ice or slush
Most drivers generally seemed understand why i was riding in the super-primary position (apart from a couple of cabbies passing really close-but then that's what they do) -

Oddly enough drivers do behave exactly how they should within the vicinity of a bicyclists (was also riding in a super-primary position too).
Riding home last night, even on a two lane road, I was on the fast lane as the tyre track clear off the snow, the drivers understood me perfectly, probably because they know how sketchy it is in their cars and imaging that bicycles is probably a lots worse (while it isn't).
Lovely display of driving during the recent few days, with the exception of bad drivers being a lots worse (and I mean a lots).
Was a bit worrying seeing cyclists putting their lives on the cycle lane, incredibly sketchy seeing them trying to keep the bike straight while there's a perfectly smooth road just next to the cycle lane.

^ True. Far more civilised speeds even on OKR (and surrounding roads) last few days.

this is my experience.
spotted a polo player outside the union jack on union st. late DASing, i was concentrating on not falling over in my blizzard sports. snow bike needs some cranks, but im completely skint.

early morning, before 8am, Roman Road / Grove Road junction I've started to move of from the junction on a green light, when all of a sudden there's this knob overtaking me and turning left, inches away from my front wheel. made me break, swerve and lean. think it was a blue dolan with mudguards, didn't quite catch it, as I had to deal with the lean situation. what a cunt.

Spotted Alfie, MarkyBoy's junior, on the tube yesterday evening. He turned to his teacher (?) and said "that's VeeVee!" :D
That was Rik.
Oh, hold on, Rik wouldn't have squinted.
Oh, and he's in Berlin. :)
