I think i may invest in a neckwarmer. Anyway, spotted: Followed a guy on a yellow fuji track all the way up Camberwell Grove, rare that I find a commuter on that hill that can keep my pace, let alone stay ahead :)

Bloody ell, didn't realize commuters dressed up so much !!
I've been out on the bike all day in this weather for obvious reasons and I'm just in regular jeans with Goretex waterproof pants over the top. Two pairs of NORMAL socks which didn't do anything, still had numb feet all day. Normal (fucked) Sidi Dominators.
Top half is vest, tshirt, hoody, flannel shirt, waterproof North Face jacket. All the straps from my bag keep my torso warm.
and to top it all off, a cycling cap. Peak down, hood up.
and fingerless gloves.
Good enough for 9 hours of snow +rain + wind. The only problem is the numb/frozen feet.

where do you hide your nunchucks?
-
• #32487
In my Archie's Grobags™ hip pouch.

I'm with Joe Smith, apprently wearing shitloads of clothes does keep you ridiculously warm
merino socks
sidi doms
prendas oversocks
endura overshoes
solo kneewarmers
decathlon bibs
decathlon baggies
m+s merino thermal tee
solo arm warmers
silk glove liners
altura shield gloves
uniqlo merino jumper
decathlon wind/waterproof jacket
buff neck thing
ear warmer headband arrangementWith that lot you can just tell the weather to fuck off for as long as you want but compared to 3-4 months of a travelcard still cheapo.

If I was only commuting I'd probably gear up properly to be honest.
-
• #32490
If my commute was longer I wouldn't bother so much. It's annoying only getting warmed up when you're 5 minutes away.
-
• #32491
dont forget the Balaclava!
-
• #32492
Oh fuck the Balaclava! just get a bloody scarf, you're not Andy McNab!

So who was the brave soul on a deep red Bob Jackson in a black top and hat with just knee length shorts heading into town on Whitechapel at about noon today? He must be on here?

Okay that make sense, not enough time to get warmed up, after 3 miles you'd be boiling!
