driving through london today (work meant i had to) 3 separate people riding down the wrong side of the road at speed, on busy roads - flabbergasted!

Bloody ell, didn't realize commuters dressed up so much !!

I've been out on the bike all day in this weather for obvious reasons and I'm just in regular jeans with Goretex waterproof pants over the top. Two pairs of NORMAL socks which didn't do anything, still had numb feet all day. Normal (fucked) Sidi Dominators.

Top half is vest, tshirt, hoody, flannel shirt, waterproof North Face jacket. All the straps from my bag keep my torso warm.

and to top it all off, a cycling cap. Peak down, hood up.

and fingerless gloves.

Good enough for 9 hours of snow +rain + wind. The only problem is the numb/frozen feet.

With that lot you can just tell the weather to fuck off for as long as you want but compared to 3-4 months of a travelcard still cheapo.

If I was only commuting I'd probably gear up properly to be honest.

If my commute was longer I wouldn't bother so much. It's annoying only getting warmed up when you're 5 minutes away.
