You are a danger to other people and yourself. If you run into the back of me because a worn brake cable has snapped on a second hand bike that you chose to remove the rear brake from I will call you alot worse than twat.
And British Cycling lawyers will take all your money from you just to add insult to injury.I didn't chose to take it off - it came like this. Bought it over two months ago and had more urgent upgrades than brakes.

What's more urgent than being able to stop?
An Arrospok? Top tube pad? Sparkly paint-job? -

Believe it or not - i am able to stop.
More urgent than brakes was a new freewheel, chain, chainset, tyres - all that just to be able to cycle. Plus saddle, lock, lights.

Brave: i do have a fiver, thanks, but prefer to wait. I'm using someone's handlebar so when it comes to buying a brake i'll be going for a new handlebar, tape, both brakes and lever plus cables. Can't afford
all that now so it has to wait a month. -

Promise to get new brakes next month.
Please promise to get an Oyster card and use public transport in the time being.

More urgent than brakes was a new freewheel
Surely a fixed sprocket is cheaper than a freewheel one? why not invest in that in the
first place and then not have to bother with a back brake? just a thought.P.S. I didn't mean to offend you with the twat comment, I was simply speaking my mind and im afraid I still feel the same way.

Even if this is true, it's not the reason most people who ride SS with just a front brake do that, they do it because they want to look like they're riding fixed, when they're not. It's fashion. Which is pathetic given other people's safety is potentially involved. HTFU and ride fixed or buy a front brake.

Forum whip round for ada's back brake... Followed by forum warm hug for hurting her feelings..?
