  • Clearly not trying hard enough. Out of the saddle and smiling????

And in the big ring, thank you very much (just don't look at my bar tape! They promised to airbrush it but chose to embarrass me instead). It's surprisingly difficult to ride and smile, as it turns out. But apparently big grimaces don't sell the mag - the readers like to think of cycling as being a bit like having a warm bath. Relaxing and non-strenuous. Ironing out my scowl was the hardest part.

Yup. Definitely trying harder for smiling, as it's harder than looking as if you're 'suffering'. Well done! Cycling is fundamentally enjoyable--not everyone needs to be a ProTour rider grinding up 20-kilometre climbs at silly speeds.

  • Got spotted by Ali.W and shippey earlier today in Amhurst Road. Hello!

  • Ummm some dude on a cream surly near threadneedle streetl shouting your a twat to a city sprint driver as he cut us up - well put sir.

Sone other guy opposite LMNH with polka dot rims I turned to look nearly hitting a bus - I have no idea if your on here as I don't have a clue what any of look like. I was the big guy on a lime green bob griffin.

  • Thanks to the lady on grays inn road who yelled at the cabbie who was hassling me for swearing at him... after he cut me and the Mr up and honked at us then proceeded to lecture me at the light. We had fun hassling him then heard her giving it to him from the other side. Amazing. Thanks again.

  • A certain very brown Brooklyn machine works bike being ridden slowly around kings cross. I would have DAS but was a bit embarrassed about my bike.

  • There's only two of those in London, one is from TokyoFixedGear, and the other is Scott's old one.

  • I assume its the recently sold one as it looked the same from the pics from the classified section - gold bits and all. Unless the other one from tokyo fixed had the same specs?

  • exact same specs, customer saw Scott's bike, wanted it in same colour with gold hubs and brown rims etc.

the only difference is the other have riser and scott have drop bar with v-brake.

  • Max' bike

This apostrophe has blown my mind. Please advise

  • I saw Scott's old one today, on Aldersgate street, guy stepped it up through the chicane, then I breezed past at the roundabout. It looks hot.

    I prefer "Max'" to "Max's".

  • That's a phonological disgrace.

Always Max's /maksis/, never Max' or Maxs' /maks/, unless you're talking about something belonging to someone called 'Mac'.

  • Live at Max's Kansas City.

    End of.

  • Senor bearfoot through Brixton this morning as we discussed restaurant hygeine inspections in Tottenhale (a bit random, yes). Then the delightful Johnny (looking as hip as all the kids) at the roundabouty thing where E and C joins Blackfriars rd. Looking forward to a guinni with you both this eve.
Seems the best spotting is done post 9am when all the fixieskidderslackers are setting off to work.
