was nearly taken out by a fixiéfashionista at the junction of clerkenwell and farringdon road this morning.
i was walkengering and this guy turned into clerkenwell rd from the south. he was out of the saddle pedal-mashing and rode straight though the crowd of pedestrians crossing with the green man. i jumped backwards as he nearly hit me and i have to say that if he'd been going a fraction slower i might well have let my instinctive fight or flight reaction kick him off his stupid fucking fixié. twat.

spotted in Sicily - one lycra-clad roadie in a whole week of really really shoddy cheapo mountain bikes. i thought Italy would be brimming with serious cycling types! sadly, i was mistaken.

Digger this morning at the Hootananny. It must have been half 9 and I obviously wasn't giving a hoot about getting to work on time.

I shall be one of those on a really really shoddy rented MTB in a couple of weeks' time. Can't wait. Might well go for a nose round here too: http://www.daricello.it/index2.htm

Nice shiny blue Merckx in Dulwich Park earlier. I was on a bench, about halfway between a geared holdsworth and a brie sandwich.

Afraid not, this one was fixed. And was all blue. To be honest with you, the brie was so nice my full attention wasn't committed to bike spotting!

Well, don't expect too many graceful Merckx-esque figures slicing through the air on a beautiful shiny De Rosa... though i did spot a few good DIY racks made from plastic shopping baskets lifted from supermarkets and a beat-up Pashley (how'd it get there???) that kept me amused.
gutted i missed that bike shop though - looks interesting. if you're going for general tourism, i could give you a few pointers from my Palermo trip...

Please do - I've been several times, but usually spend so much time eating that I don't see as much of the city as I'd meant to.

Dammit at Elephant a little while back (who got a mysterious and confused wave from me), and the Cinelli-Vigorelli-OKR-guy chilling in Regents Park before that.

Just spotted this in a friend's photo album, thought the stars might want to see it!
ah, good times...
Mmmm! Concrete Kisses! That was the 2 v 2 Valentine polo tournament last year where the scoring team had to kiss after each goal. That was the final, in which dt just had to score 10 goals :D
Thanks for sharing the pic hanged_up :)

Hello! Nice bike. I was on my way to the gym in Herne Hill.
Got DAS'd by two people on Lordship lane, sadly I was wearing my (10 year old, wrong prescription, held together with wire) glasses and cannot identify them.

I saw him this morning too but I was sat in the Blackfriars Cafe enjoying a fry up.
