  • OCD Prince Charles ploughing through traffic with his five strong motercade that amost bloody ran me off the road. Just who does he think he is?

Just a prince. If he thought more than that he'd have at least an 8 car motorcade. I don't leave home without mine.

  • Happened to me too on the Mall outside Clarence House. Freaking eco-Prince my republican arse. Come the revolution he'll be the first against the wall (after Viscount Linley, obviously...)

  • wheels I saw myself in the reflection of Woolworths glass frontage on Camden High Street around 20 minutes ago, looked great, possibly phil wood, possibly hair-of-spoke, possibly NJS, some cranks or other, a steering pipe (bent sort), wheels at both ends, mini bike chair on the end of the bike seat pole, I think I was wearing a 2002 Topman jumper, strong trousers (prassably jean trousers) a pair of matching shoes, socks, high end underwear, a unknown T-shirt + teeth in the teeth sockets in my gums.

    Anyone here (besides me) ?

Think that may have been me but it sounds like quite a few people on here.

    sure it wasn't harry?

  • fatbloke So I'm not the only fg-riding hipster in sleepy Southfields after all!

Nope. There's you, me, some dude who rides a white/lilac Condor who says hi sometimes, but isn't on here, and the brave soul who freelocks an old red track bike outside the Thai Girder on Replingham Road (unless that's you).

Oh, and some bloke on Touche. But I reckon he's from over the border (i.e. SW19) and hence doesn't count.

No he probably would have been stumbling around out side Boujis all pink faced with a blonde in one hand and some kind of champagne cocktail in the other. In fact maybe daddy was going to pick him up. It was in south ken!

  • nimhbus hipster = bloke in woman's jeans, with toe-straps. possibly also a mankini

what you talking about harry hill?! :p better than your new ride!

No, I lock mine to Mad John. No chance of anyone going near it that way.

I'm usually on a green Gillott fixed with white bar tape, or now a brown DeKerf ss MTB, but various other things too. Say hi if you see me.

  • Really nice looking black Bob jackson in new cross - went up OldKent Road. Very nice bike. I would have said hello ( was on a fuji bike covered in tape - not good to look at) however have man flu and am pretty unsociable in the mornings at the mo. Also, if you are on here, how did you get in front of me at after Waterloo Bridge? Can you morph time some how?

How do you do! Seen you loads of times on your Brompton before today. Actually thought there was something wrong cos normally you're way faster than you were today ;)

Do you go through Borough/Union St/The Cut from Bricklayers roundabout? That is quieter but longer/slower than going through E+C and up the bus lane on London Road to bottom of Waterloo Road. Only other shortcut I've got is going up Neal Street to top of Shaftesbury Ave instead of Drury Lane to get to Centre point.

I will say hello next time I see you, my man flu is on the wane today. The Brompton is currently on holiday in my kitchen since I got a bike with proper sized wheels. I used to feel quite fast on my brompton, however the normal sized Fuji is much faster. My knees were getting really beaten up with doing about 10,000 rpm on the Brompton to keep up with the traffic. I still love that bouncy bouncy bike though! However only use it for mixed mode transport now. I would also be interested in using it for Polo, could be awesome.

I use the Borough/Union St/The Cut from Bricklayers roundabout, however may change as the lights are pretty annoying, however there is a good green grocers up there.

How long have you had that bike, looks pretty smart and new?

  • Saw a VERY magenta Anchor outside the Golden heart yesterday with a gaggle of other nice rides.
    Whos is this?
