• fatbloke on the off-road track at Richmond Park away from Roehampton Gate - I was spinning out in the opposite direction on the DeKerf I bought off Scott.
You trying to keep out of the wind? ;o)
3 laps of RP (anti clockwise til I die) was HARD yesterday!

• scott not scot
fatbloke Two blokes on road fg's riding uphill on the off-road track at Richmond Park away from Roehampton Gate - I was spinning out in the opposite direction on the DeKerf I bought off Scott.

hehe....how was that 3000rpm spin home from euston?
I was about thirty yards south of the Euston Road when a bloke on a Klein rode up alongside and said, "WOW! A DeKerf!" I complimented him back, and he said, "sure, Kleins are nice, but you see one every once in a while. But you NEVER see a DeKerf...!"

I was delighted - props on my new bike after about thirty seconds on board. AND I managed to find one of the hundred or so people in the country who know what it is in that time...!

@ Mouse - off-road, anti-clock, sure it was blowy but running Scott's 30-inch gear helps!!

Yeah, but I now have Indurain-level souplesse...

• Big Mig was a cheat. Take away his asthma inhalers, and he'd have been languishing at the back of the pack.

• adoubletap A lickle orange frame with aubergine deep Vs and silver risers locked outside Tesco in Lewisham.

Alison... our next door neighbour. She's not on the forum.

• two guys, not sure if they knew each other, one on a grey frame with top tube protector, orange deep v's, and guy in rapha cap on a red fondriest, really nice metallic? paint job, crossing over from landor road onto clapham high st, and heading up towards the common, about 1 today. I was walking back from farmers market, so didn't get a chance to say hi as you zipped past me on the kerb

• the hipsters have hit clapham?

• willski Girl on a green track frame (?Bob Jackson) with Pink Deep-Vs and short risers at Clapham North yesterday at about 6:30 in the eve.

You caught my eye, I wasn't staring, just checking out the bike (honest).

**I was looking a bit bedraggled thanks to a bastard head wind.
**

were you at the traffic lights near clapham north tube station????
if so you looked at me like i was nuts, made me laugh. nice to see ya. do you live close?

• RPM the hipsters have hit clapham?

What is a hipster to you? i live in clapham yes, ride deeps v's and wear vans and cages am i a hipster?

• the (american) word hipster really gets on my tits. it's worse than fixie. most people riding fixed gear track bikes are hipsters in some sense, including me. who cares?

• don't get upset people, I'm only playin

just because I don't use winkies or smilies, I'm not often serious.

a hipster is someone who owns a particular thing for fashion reasons only, that's hardly likely to be anyone on here..

apart from all the east-end arrospok club ;)

• RPM is on the waiting list for a hipster replacement operation.

• yeah, bloody NJS waiting lists!

• what is a hipster? google 'hipster bingo' and all will be revealed.

• ; )
RPM the hipsters have hit clapham?

I think you're only a real hipster if you're snobbish towards people who haven't got deep-vs.

the above quote was just a bit of an off-hand mickey-taking comment, but the hipster thing isn't all about bikes, for instance there's a pub in Tooting that used to be quite rough, it re-opened all ponsed up and lots of trendy young people appeared in it, some of my friends said "where have all these hipsters appeared from?"

"If you build it they will come" someone else said.

I'd rather go to that pub with the hipsters (even if they do wear scarves and caps indoors, with t-shirts) than the more "earthy" type of regular that used to frequent there..

• When I was a child my dad would give me a smack for wearing a hat inside. I should send him to your Tooting pub RPM.

• @RPM, that wasn't directed at you! oops.

NJS waiting list :)

• Was anyone at Ipswich station today. Had a de-stickered langster with a roberto bicyclis (spl?) sticker on the steerer tube?

• hipster = bloke in woman's jeans, with toe-straps. possibly also a mankini

That was me! I wasn't thinking you were nuts at all! I've just got wierd eyes. I was actually admiring how smoothly you spun across the junction; it was in stark contrast to the guy thrashing an MTB behind you in a vain attempt to catch up.

I live down in Southfields, but I'm often around Clapham/Stockwell/Brixton. How do you pronounce your forumid?

• the trixie formally known as Em.

• So I'm not the only fg-riding hipster in sleepy Southfields after all!

• Guy on Black 'veto' i think, rear gold deep v, orange chrome bag. See you regularly bombing down denmark hill. Anyone on here??

• Prince Charles ploughing through traffic with his five strong motercade that amost bloody ran me off the road. Just who does he think he is?
