Only a very nice roast dinner...the police weren't invited.
Also spotted Pisti on the tube in Brixton, on his way to the Spurs-Everton game yesterday.

I was in 14 Bikes & Sons on the weekend to see a man about a dog, when what did I see rolling up to the front door, but a scratched but pretty red, white and chrome SS fixie Track rare!!
It was the very bike we were discussing saving a few weeks back, abandoned outside Tesco in Shoreditch, and tragically picked for all it's worth, until finally it was removed altogether.
I asked matey where he got it from, sugaring the pill with 'nice frame pal', all that, and he said he bought it from some dodgy bloke (his words), but I didn't catch the rest, bit of an accent, and I was distracted by his waxy Barbour jacket and loafers (natch).
Looks like our red white and chrome beauty has lived to ride again. Shame some profiteering scamp has made a few dirty pounds in the process.

Great breakfast story that^
I never see anyone on my commute into work accross london's famous london. Am I too early? I used to see spins and pinkgottimobbs but even they have started using a different route to avoid me

I get the opposite... I love the weather but i hate the fucking nobs that come out from under their rocks and take over the road space... You cannot hear a beautiful voice in amoungst the screams

I think I seen this guy. Runs skinny slicks, and is himself a skinny little fecker? Unfortunately he's a regular sighting on clapham to elephant super nodder grand prix.

I'm hearing that.
First day doing my new commute and didn't see a single fix until I got to town - but was swamped with phenomenally incompetent nodders all the way in. One twat forced his way through a gap his über-wide bars clearly couldn't manage and smacked a car really hard.
Does everybody take a better route than me to avoid these twunts? I'm riding Tooting/Balham to the City down the A3.
On the upside, I saw a guy wearing an american football helmet on a bike with indicators. That was cool.

Spotted the dude with the big red beard again this morning, exactly the same place as yesterday. I'm going to try to be 30 seconds earlier tomorrow so I can give you a DAS!
Also, at the same place (where Trinity Street crosses Borough high street), spotted a young lady on a blue track frame (the name of which may or may not have begun with 'o' - the frame that is, not the girl - I've never seen her before). anyway, hello if you're on here.
more interestingly, just before all this saw a fireman putting out a flaming moped. that was cool. what was even more cool was the look of pure joy on the face of a kid (about 8 I'd say) who was watching and was clearly more excited by this than anything else he had ever encountered. literally jumping up and down with excitement.

^@ Damo - that's him, seen him on Kings Ave a few times, he's a bit of an over-competitive little tit. One of those regulars I don't look forward to seeing, unlike for example Clefty or old-man-who-rides-incredibly-slowly (this would sound annoying, but he looks like a very lovely chap).
+50 to the last couple of days nodder frustration! I'm all for people enjoying cycling, but get some road sense.....

I think I saw the mysterious disappearing Johan riding a white fixie-skidder across the Whiston Rd/Queensbridge Rd traffic lights this morning.

It's nodder season, the first sign of sunny weather and they come out in droves. Be prepared to have people push past you at traffic lights so they can get pole position, then dawdle away at wobble speed and block the road for all the other cyclists they've just pushed past.
My personal favourite is people who think big gears equates to faster riding. My knees ache just watching some of them pushing massive gears at 30 RPM. The look of confusion as you spin past them on a much lower gear keeps me amused all the way to work.

• #23172
i don't mind them. i'm sure i do nodderesque things. it's a beautiful day today, let's enjoy the sunshine. there's going to be a bit more rain, but after the last couple of weeks, this is glorious.

speaking of road sense, to the plaid shirt/bobble hat/green deep v single speeder on bishopsgate yesterday afternoon, you ride like a twat. if you are gonna weave all over the place and jump lights left right and centre, at least learn to look over your shoulder once in a while.

I don't mind them at all Damo, I just find amusement* in how they ride.
*interspersed with terror as they perform manouveres that could see them killed

This could apply, word for word, to half the fixed riders I see on the road.
Double points bonus suburban spot! purple_mj on the unmistakeable Ti; New Cross, Lewisham, Eltham, Sidcup. I was bombing it for giggles and he was cruising all the way. Lovely ride home.
(Also, Nelson with risers heading south on the OKR this morning. I DAS'd from Asda, northbound, to no avail. Boo.)
