chap in Two Wheels Good on Stoke Newington church street today getting some tyres and free locking a very nice blue lo pro outside...tut tut, the kids'll have it in a flash
that's my mate Ed; he's a courier, the bike is an Eddy Mercxxxxx. I did my laundry in his washing machine this afternoon and he later bought me a new tea strainer.
I free lock outside that shop all the time; the dangers of free locking are over-stated. Me and Ed and all other couriers free lock all day every day; I have only known one courier have his bike nicked that way. A few minutes in a small shop on Church st is not a big risk.
I will now go upstairs and tell Ed he has been tut-tutted on the forum. -

Just remembered last night I saw a girl in heels riding fixed (gorgeous baby blue, with Rolls saddle?) from Old St turning right onto Shoreditch High St. Waiting at the lights, sitting on the saddle with left foot on ground and right foot unclipped on pedal at lowest point, lights turn green, scoots along slowly with left foot making right leg go round and round.. impatient black cab at her tail... looked terrifying. Really wish people would learn the basics before riding amongst busy traffic. I think she was catching up with a more experienced friend.
