Dunno who, but a welcome "do a skid" was hurled at me this morning, just where Cheyne Walk turns onto the embankment.

Spent some time with a quad ATV on my commute this morning up Eastcheap through Holborn. He exhibited all the worst qualities of a cyclist, scooter and car: weaving across the lane without looking, no signalling, crossing into oncoming traffic to pass, blocking gaps etc etc. Basically a prick on an annoyingly loud machine.

I didn't even think those were street legal but had a French plate so I guess they are. I hope these aren't going to become a commuting trend.

That was me - very rarely see anyone riding fixed that way on my morning commute. This was the first time 'do a skid' wasn't met with a look of confusion so it made me feel happy, good morning!

I came to the conculusion it was Tuesday (dunno why) and thought I was late for a date.

As for the random on the MTB, I think he was just trying to keep up with me ;)

Ha I didn't even realise I passed you. My new regime (inspired by you) of riding as fast as possible seems to be working, although Willski did leave me for dust last night after shouting ARROSPOK at me, but then he usually does.

i got all my timings wrong all the way home. i was in such a mood i went through brixton up effra hill to tulse hil round the roundabout and back up the road. all in an effort to cheer up.

it almost worked.
