I've been told that Arvy has been known to walk up the hill.
I refer the misinformed honourable gentleman to the answer I posted on the forum a few days ago

I'm going to save it, and leave a note.
You really should - always used to see it on my lunch break, it was still there today. (bits of it were I should say). You might still be able to salvage the frame at least.

had my first forum spot! although, quite disappointed as i can't remember who they are.
here is the scenario: about 1.30pm to 2pm i pull out of KCL on strand at aldwych. notice a couple of cyclists further down the street behind me. I am going straight down strand towards trafalgar square.
they pull up to my left at the lights going onto waterloo bridge. a girl, with short brown hair, and a guy with a beard. both trackstanding. i look over but don't catch their eye and can't think of anything to say to someone who i have met before but can't remember the name of. hello!
and then, coming home was at chalk farm station waiting at lights to go up haverstock hill, smack bang in the middle of the road. some fuckwit in a car pulls up to my left on the dashed lines (like these ones) on their phone. i go over and tap on the window and make the phone hand gesture and shake my head. the guy just waves his hand a turns away! cunt.

heh! should i take that as a compliment? after looking up the definition i am unsure.
i also had my first experience of a hipster with an instant faux fixie. front brake, s/s, no bartape, cassette still present. walking along.

Guy on a brown Bob Jackson in Camberwell I think, could've been Brixton - I haven't really been with it today.
Oh, and a guy I've seen a couple of times on my way into work - Riding downhill past Denmark Hill station - looks like he coined the phrase fixie-skidder. What looks like a BLB (possibly 14) build - black bare-knuckle frame, green and purple v's, at least 1 white tyre, and possibly white spokes... -

On Grey's Inn Road today at midday I saw an older looking courier with long grey hair coming out of a building. He had a chrome Bianchi Pista with bullhorns, tri bars and Wound Up forks. Interesting bike, the man intruiged me.

Blond guy on turquoise falcon on tooly street/Tower bridge Junction, we discussed which way our wheels lean while trackstanding ...
Impressed with your acceleration despite the huge gear you're riding.
Nice to meet you mate :D -

i spot the guy with the beard on a smallish bob jackson plenty when out and about. Seen him at the track days and spotted him on the roundabout at the bottom of tower bridge road / old kent road this morn at about 7.45. I was on the langster but sometimes on the celeste bianchi. Will say hi next time - or maybe just shout 'do a skid'.
