Risers in the wind + Pentonvile hill for MTFU times. James, you are STILL a giant female, i dont care what my mother screams in the early hours about you being 'all man' .
Fair enough mate,
but what the hell did you think you were doing standing by the door cheering her on? -

It was dark, late and we were racing back to East Drinks, but I think I saw Edscoble stopping at the traffic lights on Theobalds Rd heading west. I shouted "do a skid" and he didn't hear me, so it probably was him :-)

Joe, i have no idea what youre talking about... Probably cause i havent had my coffee yet, but can you explain it to me in laymens terms.

fatboyralph waiting to cross the lights on Tooley Street, just as i was chasing down an undertaking Brompton fiend... Played with him all the way to Canary Wharf, which was fun... Was gonna follow him so I could let his tyres down when he parked... But I couldn't be bothered...

I had ridiculous amount of bromptons pull in front of me ay the traffic lights this morning. Dont they understand that when someone gets to the light first, it probably means theyre faster than you... GRRRRRRRRrr

if you really do want me to do a skid, shoot a flare right in my path would do the trick!

A guy by the name of Gareth on his lovely pastel Robin Mather Track frame on Sheen Road heading into town.
Bumped into him again in Hyde Park, had a bit of a chat and it turns out he used to live with Robin when they worked at a bike shop together in bath.
He was saying it felt a bit over the top for a daily bike, and I have to admit it was probably the nicest commuter bike I've ever seen.

Seething doesn't do you any favours. These days, as I'm riding around some nodding twunt for the umpteenth time, I tell them - politely but firmly - to wait behind me if we both stop at the next set of lights. No explanation is offered unless they request one.
You've got to own the road, and control the bunch. Look at this bloke below. Hinault's the score:
(andyp claims to have spotted this rider during numerous TNRCs)

Fair enough. It irks me though, when i chat to ppl and they say that guys on fixed cant pull away from lights fast enough.
But you are right - ill give it a try. The sneaky bastards head into intersections like theyre going to RLJ but then they dont man up and do it. But then they cant even see the light changing. I think i am going to install some rotating blade on my bike to carve a path through them!

But I don't really care about university competitiveness.. Most of the students who talk about it have only been at their university for a year or two :S

Yeah I remember them on Blue Peter back then explaining that the song was about passing the food around the tabel, dutchie is a Dutch Pot. They changed the lyric for a pop audience.
A kutchie, I think, is a long pipe something like this? Not sure ...

Ooh, I spotted a dude yesterday morning (or was it the day before?) on Kingsland Road going towards Old Street on a yellow track frame, moustachio bars, brakless. Was tempted to say hi but I had to get to work. Not that it mattered as you caught up numerous time where I waited at various lights. Smooth riding fail on my part. Sweet bike though!

Just say to yourself "I am Jamie Staff and I am going to snap these cranks off"
Works for me, though I've only managed to break a Campy sealed BB so far...
