• Well we had just done Mott Street and were on our way to Toot Hill. We then had a puncture on the Toot Hill plateau.

My tourer was slow but perfect for the weather and roads

Will you be at the Hill Climb next week ? Sean , I believe, has invited you.

• Sean was at Muddy Hell last night, isit?

Unfortunately not. I'm leading the inaugural SMTNRC elsewhere. Didn't make it to ELV's event there last week either.

I was glad I went out today on 25mms and full mudguards too :O

• Sean Kerrigan @ Muddy Hell?

I thought I was the only hipster in LVCC!

Actually, Dave Mc Carthy is much cooler than I could ever be

• Dave McCarthy is the ultimate paradox - a racing cyclist cabbie. It's almost iconoclasticism.

Here's Sean in action - it's frame number Hallx15. Gruesome costume, if you know what I mean ;)

• Who is always the last to turn up

Dave Mc Carthy that is .....

• I believe I spotted a konijn at Aldwych and turning up Drury Lane at about 9.20 this morning - if that's your merckx with the amazing paintwork, I can see why people have started commenting, as it's a stunner. I was riding my sit-up-and-beg-ified Paddy Wagon with its giant carradice lunch bucket on the back but was not sure enough of my forummer-spotting skills to shout.

Silent pointing is the new shout.
S'gonna be a good week...

Ha, yep me, I was a zombie this morning, still not woken up properly yet. That Merckx is a dog up close, two big dings in the top tube, paint scraped down to the metal on the rear triangle, cheapest groupset, wheels and tyres that money can buy, and cables held on with zipties...

• It was the intense colour combination that stood out - I didn't get as far as checking for scrapes.

Has anyone seen/does anyone here ride the nice red Coppi bike with track ends and internal rear brake cable routing? I was following it some of the way in this morning. Rider had plus-four type breeches and long wooly socks. Very autumnal.

• Jonny and Scooter in the Half Moon Herne Hill. Nice to briefly meet you guys.

nice to meet you dude. stick a photo of your bike up in the names and faces thread and see if one of the 'experts' on here can help ID it dude

yep, nice one shoots. will be a good week indeed. i think you might need to take that hat with you. catch ya at the TNRCAs tomoz.

• saturday night on great eastern street: KIT the car from Knight Rider

• Silent pointing is the new shout.

I like sound effects:

• Shinscar this morning, from Dalston to London bridge. Good to chat sir, its been way to long.
And a nice wave from PSY.

• Fenela, this morning at Goldsmith's - I saw you this time (just)!

• Most hilarious thing i have ever seen.
Walking down the road and see a guy on a nice red raleigh single speed conversion riding down bishops gate two brakes, freehwheel, extremly short risers.
The lights turn red about 50 meteres infront of him, he is pedalling full out. He leans forward, like a fixie skidder, and puts his balls right on the stem, his chest puffed out like a rooster. He then coasts, as if he is skidding, swerving all over and tryin to whip out his rearwheel, he then brakes, just as he reaches the lights and puts his foot down, i was surprised he didnt try and do a trackstand...
I shouted do a skid when the lights turned green, he ignored.
It made my day.

haha! that does sound funny.

• Wiganwill, Clerkenfixed Rd... You fail, Sir...

•
Followed some guy down the old kent road up to the big roundabout, sporting a turqouise and pink bike with white rims, I think. Quite some eye catcher.

This bike.

That'd be Slamm!
And once more this morning, followed him down the OKR.
Haven't met Slamm yet, but that bike is an eye catcher for sure.

• One for PaulR...

I spotted the green Bob Jackson that was always locked up on OKR this morning, with the rider (a courier?), just metres away from its old parking spot!

Hello to the rider if you're on here.. I hadn't seen it for a couple of months, so glad it hadn't been nicked :)

• Sano this morning on the way into work, him in full courier gear, me in scary Lycra wearing incident.....the horror......the horror!

• Oh good. I was wondering about it just this morning as I pootled by at about 8.15.

I shall now eat my sarnies happy in the knowledge that the bike is alive and well.

• Hops, that bike that's locked up between the KFC / B&Q against the railings? Think I spotted a green one there quite often.
