One of the things I loved about being a courier is that you are treated pretty equally by your co-workers, not a common thing in most blue collar jobs I would imagine. I'm very lucky to have most of my cycling community experience be in this sort of an environment.

Actually, that's a good point - I get dozens of comments on my appearance (etc.) every day, but I don't think I've ever had one from a fellow courier. Ahhhh, I can now go to sleep, my faith in humankind restored...
