No, was up visiting a friend who lives off Kingsland road, by the canal. I know a few people out that way - seems like a cool place to be.
Van Damage off here (Beth) lives in Clapton, I think.

hippy 31trum.. shortly after some bird heading west on fUxbridge.. then RaphaBoyMouse.. then about 200 fixers on Old St.
I reckon the trick to spots is to sleep in and leave when all you lazy cnuts leave :P
In my defence: I was going to a meeting in Paddington at 08:45 I was later than usual too. I had to wear a suit to a meeting later in the day so I was riding slowly in semi work clothes - shirt and tie, cycling jacket over the top. This is why Hippie caught up those 5 minutes between Brett seeing me then him ;o)
There was a messenger waiting outside DDB (where the meeting was) on a geared mountain bike. He took one look at me in my Rapha gear and just gave a weary shake of his head. So obvious that he was just thinking 'fsking fakenger'. LMAO.
Oh, and Bloomsbury beers are good for me too. Obviously not on a Thursday night though...

(oh it was 5 secs not 5 minutes - as you were).
But I did say that I was out later than usual this morning due to a meeting in Paddington, which is nearer than Holborn hence my leaving later.

Who is the "Ealing fixie chick?"
Description from another place: "It was a different bike this time, but definitely the same girl, dressed in black breeches, yellow striped socks, a woolly hat and carrying a big old messenger bag. She was riding a brakeless dark green steel fixie with white deep section Velocity rims and white 'bar tape."

every time i get that look from a messenger i make a note not to call a bike and if i have the time do the delivery myself, or if they have a name of the company on the bag use a different account.
so smile you fuckers :-) -

Mr Smith - Why do you care what a courier thinks of you dressed in Rapha?
-
• #1770
"Take it with a heaped teaspoon of salt"?
I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with that precise proverb…
;) -
• #1771
It's crystal meth.. makes all the bad people go away..
-
• #1772
i don't care what anyone thinks of me dressed in rapha.
if somebody gives me a derisory look it's just going to make me less likely to give them my custom again whether they be selling me a mobile phone, an espresso coffee, or delivering something.
however the use of the word 'fuckers' was indefensible, the rest of my comment still stands

Aaah.
"Take it with a heaped teaspoon of crystal meth."Yes, they used to say that to us at school whenever someone got worked up.
Thanks for clearing that up… -

Yup move going okay, still yet to have a proper scout around my new area. You live round that way too?
