Tyskie
what is that shit?
cos people who like to drink it round my way also like to dump the empties in the street rather than use a bin, ignorant cunts.

Polish beer.

• #17057
You can't Polish a turd.
(racist)
But seriously, thank god for immigrant workers and the plentiful supply of lager they brought with them. Zwyiec > Tyskie though. And Lech is a close third. Can't beat a good Lech.

Cider is the reason people in Somerset are weird.

That's me leaving empties on your lawn.. and waiting to see your Mr Potato Head angry face..

Cider is not as good as a real Ale.. Remember that white lightning is cider too :S

Depends on the cider, innit. This is where I put in a plug for ciderpunk.com, who I have found to be excellent. Shipping is flat rate, so I'd be happy to contemplate a group buy BTW.
I do like a nice real ale though, very much, as anyone who's been to Easts will attest.

Fail.
Different drinks for different occasions and different weather. You can drink your ale in 45degC while I enjoy a cider over ice. I will enjoy my ale or whisky sitting by a fire in English mid-winter while you wrap your lips around some chilled lager.

i actually agree with tubby on this one.

There are many kinds of ales for many different weathers/seasons.. Light summer ales for the summer (duh), dark stouts and porters for the winter.. Bitters and milds etc for in between
(by the way, I understand that drinks are horses for courses but Ales have a wider variety of styles than most alcoholic beverages)

I must admit to having dipped my toe into the experimental waters of pear cider on the hotter days this year. Koppaberg seems to be the nicest, but I have had to stop because I drink it like it is fruit juice, and that makes me mix my metaphors.

Real ale ride anyone? I'll get my tankard!

• #17069
Well up for that.

Kopparberg must be the worst of these.. too sweet and too chemical tasting.. and for me to say that when my food intake resembles a GlaxoSmithKline processing plant.. that's proper fucking sweet and chemical. I used to like Brothers. We drank so much of it in 07 though I'm sure we should've had shares in the company. Don't go for it much now. They do normal, festival strength 7% and pear+strawberry.
