VeeVee and Jaygee on the way in. Bonjour! See you at Souths.
PS - When I spotted her, as I pulled out of a side street, V was disappearing at very great speed into the distance. The only reason I managed to catch her up was because she had to slow down for heavy traffic and red lights. ;-)

Ray on fixed and friend on a freewheeling white genocide down roseberry ave this afternoon.
i was pedding the pavement and you have never met me so it was pointless shouting 'Yo Fixie!', 'Skid you Hipster', 'FixieFixieFixieMotherfucker' or whatever salutation is currently 'in' with the fixed gear zeitgeist.yeah would have been good to shout something, would have been good to put name to face.
anyway...yo.
and the eddy is kinda done. did its first 100k yesterday woop.

fluro vested lady screaming at me on farringdon road this morning.
she was barely doing walking pace and wobbling all over the place trying to look over her shoulder to pull out into fast moving traffic to pass a parked van.
i was moving with the traffic more or less (down hill with a strong tail wind) and closed on her pretty quickly. had to decide in a split second whether to emergency stop to let her wobble out into traffic or try and find the happy medium between pulling in front of traffic myself and coming too close to her as i passed. i think i did a pretty decent job of the safest line and distance... i did end up pretty close to her though.
as i passed a few feet to her right she wobbled madly and exclaimed "fucking hell!" as i rode off i raised a hand in a sort of "what? what's the problem?" manner and she went bananas! screaming a cursing , spitting and yelling. i could still hear her bawling and yelling as i crossed clerkenwll and carried on.
sorry screaming lady but you really didn't leave me with much choice there. you might have thought i cut you up or blocked you in, but i beg to differ. i've been thinking about it and had it been me that had got myself in that situation, i.e. hadn't pulled out in time and found myself stuck on the inside behind a parked lorry while traffic streams past on the outside: i'm pretty sure i'd assume the onus was on me to pull out into traffic only when it was safe to do so. i'm pretty sure i wouldn't just go wobbling out into traffic then screaming indignantly at the people who i'd just forced to dive out my way in self defence.
but i didn't feel like stopping for a slanging match this morning (did i mention downhill + tailwind?) so i just had to work it out here. hope you made it to work without screaming at anyone else or getting run over.
