£5.99, they were fifteen nicker in Aldi.

They alternate between a plastic handle one for £6 and a wooden handle one for £15 that's "premium" somehow.

Only bought a cheap pair of mitts this time. Lewisham Lidl has lots of work stands leftover from last time.

Yep I'll be getting one. Apparently Aldi have a decent returns policy and 3 yr warranty so sounds like a good deal.

New batch of cycling stuff next Thursday: merino baselayers, long sleeve jerseys in less sucky than usual designs etc.

The merino base layers are epic value imho, the rest is what you pay for. Planning on getting there early, as they tend to fly...

I shall be equipping myself with base layers on Thursday. I'm intrigued by the merino long sleeve jersey for £20 - wonder if it's any good as it looks inoffensive and that's well cheap.

They’re great if the past two years are anything to go by. Seen me through two winters and going strong, though the oldest of my two has a couple of holes. Just don’t buy from old Kent road because that’s my local and I don’t want stock to dwindle 😉

Bristol suburbs mate. I can breeze along in a fortnight in the knowledge there'll still be plenty in my size :-D

So today I bought:

Turbo trainer - very impressed so far (1 hour spin). It's solid but basic. Just like me.

Merino wool neck gaiter - just like my old Rapha one but much cheapness.

Merino wool LS baselayer - sizing is off but worst case I'll use it for gardening.

Merino wool LS jersey (black with wind blocker on front) - the highlight fo'shizzle. XL fits like a XXL from other brands. It's got no grippers and it's not race fit but it'll be good for shitty UK winters.

Commuting jacket - bright, fits well and will see me through the winter commuting.

There was quite a bit other stuff but looked pretty shitty but ok for winter commuting nastiness.

I have one from about 2/3 years ago. Not Rapha levels of softness obviously but very warm and still going strong.

I think i'll get one of the merino jerseys - sounds like a good commuting purchase!

I got merino top and bottom for me, lights, waterproof bottoms, baselayer and merino baselayer for gf. No pumps, which was a shame, but not a bad haul.

I'm going to try go this afternoon. Does stuff sell out quickly generally?
The Muc off prices looked good too.
