The tool kit is good enough for one off jobs and learning what they do. When the tool breaks, replace it with a decent one.
I'm still regularly using a 5 year old Lidl tool kit chain tool, cassette tool, chain whip, splined bottom bracket tool and pedal spanner. The crank puller, allen keys, cone spanners, ring spanner and screwdriver have all been upgraded, either because they broke (crank puller) or they were shit/rounded off (the rest).

'track'? > ugly jerseys thread
Rapha are selling some pretty ones

Those jerseys are hideous. I long for the days of the knock off Rapha Merino jerseys they sold a couple of times. Mine is mostly hole now.

Ummm na.

Anyone been to Aldi OKR today? Another of their 'specialbuy' sales on so will potter down if they still have decent stock levels

Grabbed a merino base layer and some waterproof socks. Sent my mum off to return them as the medium was too small and the socks have an annoying ridge along the bottom, hopefully the large will be OK.

Haha! Yeah I gave my mum the heads up to do my bidding a few days ago, she's going to pop over tonight with my new double bike stand/cans of GT85/winter trousers. Didn't realise ALDI had it's own thread!

popped into my local today, not really much there although it was a bit later in the day, copped some merino tight as my set from last year are pretty stretched and battered and a few sets of those cheap lights to chuck in the bottom of me bag.

Not with those guns.

The Tron costumes are awesome. I also bought a heart rate monitor, I'm expecting it not to work but for £10 it was hard to resist the punt...

merino top and bottoms, some neck warmer thing which garottes you when you put it on and a set of lights, boom!

-

edge 200 doesn't have ANT, btw have been wearing cycling winter trousers from aldi for 2 years now. Can't complain, also they've got nice phosphorous strips on sides.

Might have to get some of those shorts for the turbo. Will check out the quality of the pads.
I'm sat in the Aldi knock-off Rapha Merino jersey I bought 4 years ago (been at the track this evening). It's developed enormous holes, but still such, such a good piece of clothing. I wish they did them again :'(
Ive got a bike to build up in the next few weeks and wont be able to get to London where ive left my actual tool kit.
So this will be a good stop gap. I wouldnt expect much from them.
Its like my allen keys i bought from the £1 shop. Do the job but wont last more than 6 months. Then again I am surprised they've lasted that long.
