Doing a 2X20 tonight, I will fuel up on the pee-pinkener first and see what my average power is.
So what happened under the influence of pink piss?

More than happy to create a 'pink piss' performance enhancing betroot icon if required.

I pulled a face, then did my 2 X 20.
I was pleasantly surprised that I'd not lost more power due to the two weeks of zero training my cold had given me- clearly down to the beetroot.
I've got one 2 X 20 tomorrow and another on Friday- aiming for ~300 watts for both, in a highly scientific test I will "use" beetroot tomorrow, but not on Friday.

Anyone know how to select the time period when I was in the park?
http://app.strava.com/rides/8931410
Not that this will be anywhere near an hour, but just interested for the future.
-
• #1464
Cheers, how did you do that?
-
• #1465
Drag and select what you want from the elevation profile.
It changes the url too but no idea how to select a specific part of a ride by manually entering a specific url.... it could be quite useful when out and aboutedit: the "z484|1133" bit of the link refers to ride markers "x -y" e.g - http://app.strava.com/rides/8931410#z0|47 (ride from start to 47th point recorded)

Got my first recorded counter-clockwise sub-20 lap yesterday :)

Not particularly fun with the hot wind whipping round, but felt good at the end

Finally done it in less than an hour, don't know if I'm more happy about that or about being able to add myself to the list without breaking it!
Had to make a new segment though as none of the other ones were counting my last lap for some reason, seems to be working now though - just started it further outside the gate.

Pleased to get under the hour on the first attempt (59.26). Bit windy, and had to wait in traffic due to vans parked in the road. Can't complain though as probably had a tow from cars afterwards. Might try it on the nice bike with tri-bars, decent tyres etc, rather than the winter road bike next time.
-
• #1473
Or try it on a Brompton tri bar.
Decent bike doesn't make that much of a difference IMHO, the position does.

59.50 on sunday, plenty of traffic though
Fixed 90 GI
not sure how to add myself to the list though? -

Strava has me down for a 52.30 on this last night - though the segment page has been flagged as hazardous so you can't view any of the data. Irriatating. Sub-56 seems very very unlikely, but easily under the hour now according to polar computer. Taking myself off the list though..
interesting. I'm riding down tonight, will be there till 7.30ish, then possibly off to souths.
