I was on the phone with several agents this morning, one with a really hopeful lead - hence the little celebration ride

Hope you get something. Good luck me old mucka!

Got something alright! Wind burn and sore thighs ;D ditched RP in favour of Cobham, but reluctantly turned around in Esher after about 30miles. Winds blowing erratically from the south-west did me in

But yes, that Richmond one was non-stop and the Regents one was with stopping at lights, but I seem to recall that at that speed they're pretty much with you most of the time.
6 laps and only one red light, yesterday evening. Did meet a rather strange chap that got the hump after I sat on his wheel for all of 20mts. Pushed on and didn't see him again after that.

Really nice day out there today, apart from a few too many cars slowing things down. Can't complain too much though, good ride.

I finally got round to taking my plastic fantastic road bike down to Richmond Park and cracked the one hour :)
Strava says 59:51 but that includes faff time at either end with gloves etc. Cat Eye computer started automatically and I checked the elapsed time as I crossed "the line".

Just use the 'crop ride' feature.
You should be 6th by the looks of it.

Neatly topping the hotly contested 59 minute band there.

i chopped the overrun off the end with strava but it is still saying 59:42... the other bit was stationary at the beginning and it doesn't let you chop by time, only by position... any strava experts know how i can fix this?

I think the best thing to do would be to have a nice cup of tea and forget about it.

If it's not pissing down with rain I'll have another go at this on Sunday- although it's a bit traffic-tastic.
My best lap last time was 20.34, which would see me mid table.

Lovely day for some laps. Gave it the beans and happy to have improved. You and me clearly need to go head to head, Bouncy!
Also apologies to the chap on the yellowyy/green Klein who I came past as soon as you came past me. What I was trying to say was "I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'd like to set a time so don't want to sit on your wheel"; however as you had headphones in and only took them out mid-sentence, you may have just heard "dick" - in which case sorry for any unintended offence...

Right, time for me to get back out there. Need to actually set a time on my posh bike.
Also I'm 5kg lighter than last year.

If it doesn't work out, you can always claim that with your weight loss you lost a lot of power. :)
-
• #1397
Shhh that's my fallback excuse!
-
• #1398
I think I've put on 3kgs. More power?
-
• #1399
Too much cheese? More cheese = moar power
-
• #1400
Damn right too much cheese. Being a cheesemonger means serious fat intake.
200g a day =
1kg a week =
52kg a year =
TWO of these.
