Why?
-
• #1153
If I did it in 44 minutes like it says I did, I'd be dead now.
-
• #1154
i'd have a go at this next time i'm out, but i can't stand riding the park clockwise.
i've done an 18:47 single lap anti and a 3 lap setup in about 55mins? although thats a while ago.

Will anyone be braving a Xmas day ride?
Back for Xmas and it may be a nice way to start the festivities.

55 minutes for three laps would require 18:20 lap splits.

Im going to bosch out 3 laps in about half an hour. Fixed on 71 gear inches. Fenton here i come

One hour twelve mins on 44x16 SS. Too much ale, not enough time on the bike. Actually, maybe just more time on the bike.

26th, 28th, 30th... as many laps as the mince pies and port allow for..
I'm expecting to be painfully over the 1 hr mark on all three occasions

what time xmas day?
-

1.06.13 for me on 71". Not worthy of posting on the leader board.

If I feel up to it, should be there about 9am.

Can't wait to give Richmond Park a try, I've never ridden there before.

It is worth posting on the leader board for one reason; motivation.
the feeling of being able to beat your previous lap time is always lovely, so even though it feel like a bad result, no result is bad, just something you need to chase upon.
-
• #1165
I must echo Scoble's comment. If you consider the Richmond lap as an idiosyncratic TT then the board is a record of personal bests and we can each look to improve ourselves, rather than beat each other.

• #1166
My first attempts today showed that I have some improvements to make. First use the road bike or increase my 67" gear.
-
• #1167
Anyone going to be out there today? will be there12ish, feel free to shout at me if you see me!
-
• #1168
^^^ and ^^^^. Youre right, I just felt that since I was carrying lugage and wearing baggies etc it didn't belong on there. Going to have another go today which I won't have any excuses for.
-
• #1169
Hovis, I will meet you there at the cafe. Not planning on doing hard session, just three laps to keep the legs turning. Will do it fixed.
-
• #1170
nice one, see you there
-
• #1171
Lots of cars today, aiming for a 1 hour barrier, will see how I'll flare on my roadie instead of the bastardised TT bike.

I did a gentle 3 laps with Hovis - he was riding me into the ground.
Saw Scoble a few times - we exchanged insults via gesticulations each time. Ed, it is not short sleeve weather right now.

Least I got glove on, as long I got glove on I'll be as happy as hippy in a pie.
