  • nice work lee!

i'll congratulate you in person later

cheescake - i'll be down the track until about 7:40 i reckon.

  • track starts early tonight - 6.45 kick-off.

  • lee - how many points do you need to get promoted through the categories? I've got 2 wins (including that VERY close one last night) and 2 second places as a B2. Also - where are the results posted if at all? had a look on british cycling but not found a write up or results anywhere...

    good luck for tomorrow btw!

  • what day does it all happen at the track in preston park i really need to meet up with you all more, just been mega busy changing jobs and things......

  • yeah come on paul, more the merrier on the rides.

we might nearly have enough for a polo team

  • nice idea. we could actually play down on the basketball court at P park... i could fabricate some mallets i reckon. it's all enclosed and there are also 5 a side goals... i'd be up for giving it a go!

paul - next week is the last night of racing. come down!

  • so i need a polo bike then ;)

  • Hey Andy all the info you want is here including pics.

No points total moves you up, more a case of the judges and senior riders moving you when they feel the time is right, I would have you moving up for next year if you continue racing as you have been.

Well done so far! and how do you know that mad man Tracey Harris??

  • hahaha. i train with Trace, which is probably why i've been doing OK - he's a good training buddy - relentlessly hard.

i've got a bit of an injury - hence why i didn't enter the sprints this week (the bursts seem to hurt it more. i moved my cleats and did something to a tendon. should be OK for next week if i rest up.

btw - i need to pick your brains about track etiquette. not sure i'm doing it right!

would be good to move up - if i was a bit more tactical i could have done better in the last couple of weeks.

  • what day next week is the last meet? i will try and make it

  • Sure Andy, what you feeling unsure of?

and Tracey is mad!! has always trained like a beast, some times probably over trains tho bless him!

  • really good fun last night, well done Lee! so so close in the end but was highly entertaining!! will have to put my name down for a go on the rollers when i next have a chance! and hope not to make a fool out of myself! haha

  • Cheers mate, and yeah you should deff have a go!

Shame we had to do our semi twice, that kinda ruined us for the final!! think it would have been a whole lot closer if we hadnt!

  • Sure Andy, what you feeling unsure of?

and Tracey is mad!! has always trained like a beast, some times probably over trains tho bless him!

it's just the rules of which side to overtake on, and what the lines on the track actually mean... do they only apply to certain races? i noticed that most people don't 'race' outside the blue line, but maybe use it to rest? very naive, sorry, but any advice would be hellpful!

well done on friday btw - myself, max, lewis and kai came along. good fun, i'd love to give it a go - not sure i've got the fast twitch needed to win though; always been more of a gear cruncher... that guy who won the sprint (BJ duhon?) was apparently an olympic hurdler?? he apparently doesn't own a bike!! nuts.

  • Andy, fancy meeting me at the track at say just before 6 Wednesday can warm up together and you can ask whatever you like

    Lee

  • that would be great. thanks Lee!

  • is it wednesday night the last night down the track? if so will try and mak it down but wont be there before 6.45 ish or will that be a little late? anyone else goin down?

  • i'll be down paulc, tho i'll be off to the cinema for about 8:15. be good to see you there.

  • weather doesn't look good for the track today. and i don't have the right gear either. arghh!

  • half the lap will be lightning quick, the other half really slow!

  • it's the wet track i'm worried about... i only have 48 x 14 or 48 x 19 on me today... that's going to be super tough into the wind!

  • you just need a sail or sow some wings onto your jersey's sleeve

  • lee - will there be racing tonight?

  • my pinarello is here ;) pretty little thing

  • sweet!
