I don’t know the people in question but I’m guessing they are recent movers there, it’s a tiny village and 99% of residents are salt of the earth and look out for each other.

The pool where my kids have lessons is in a private school.

So for most of the week it’s inhabited by feral bastards. There are signs everywhere asking pupils to piss only in the toilets, because from the smell and large puddles of piss, it seems like the little dahlings just piss on the floor or against the wall.

I wear my outdoor shoes in the changing rooms as do my kids

Some placs (CenterParcs and Sportoase Philipssite Leuven IME) have changing cubicles with two doors - one side is to reception and the other to the pool. Provides a clear place to take your shoes off. A bit confusing the first time you use it though.

I’m on a 24h test for reflux-type issues, stuff I’ve had going on for decades.
Doesn’t impact my life too much except when trying to sleep.

Eech. Almost makes me glad that the one time I was intubated I was also heavily sedated. How you, or anybody, copes with being conscious through that is boggling to me.

I had a two tube test. The first (fatter) one was in for about 15 minutes where they measure physical attributes of my innards while I choke down sips of apple juice (but only swallow once!) every 20 seconds or so, followed by multiple sips of water and swallowing as fast as I can. The second (skinnier) tube stayed in 24hrs and was measuring ph levels et cetera.
I was allowed to eat and drink as usual. Ha!

No fun, but short term and mild compared to some things people on here have gone through. I just needed to whine.

Wow, I had an endoscopy then got put on meds for mine, never got intubated. Best of luck with it!

Thanks, part of the reason for this test is that the Esomeprazole that I was on was having virtually zero effect, even after months of use.
