I doubt it's about the price of the eggs – I don't think that free-range/organic egg production would be exempt, sadly. 50% of the animals bred for the purpose of producing eggs are incapable of doing so and are therefore redundant; I assume similar 'euthanasia' goes on in the dairy industry for the same reason.

That video is horrific. cheap meat and tons of eggs to fill supermarket shelves and make more profit for fewer people. i can't beilieve they have machines to removing beak tips and breaking chicks from eggs. it's disgusting and sad.

Most farms keep a select few best of breed bulls whose job it is to work all the lady cows, the male beef calf go for meat at a young age, i think its under 2 years and they are at the slaughter house. the ladies go on to milk - but what a life for that one bull!

Those intensively reared hens are used for egg laying + intensive rearing (force fed and culled) the agg laying chickens are too tough for eating so they are used for processed foods (pates/pastes etc) there really isn't much of a demand for Cocks in the chicken world.. scary stuff

Hugh Fernley Wotsit was talking about Pink Veal in an article I read a while ago- essentially male calves raised normally rather in crates (which is fairly abhorent as a practice).

Flavour wise pretty similar, slightly different obviously as they get to wander around, but means that they are not shot at birth and fed to other cows.

nah i don't thik you're allow3d to feed cows to cows anyomore, not if the end cow is for human consumption. some post-BSE rules. Veal is tasty.

Also, Bulls do not do any fucking, their semen is harvested and inseminated with a very large turkey baster into the cows.

All of them have been rim side and I can't for the life of my work out why it's happening.

Rim tape - check
Correct tyre pressure - check
Tyre in ok condition - check

This is starting to get tedious now

Check the inside of your tyres for anything poking through. Slivers of glass or gravel can work into a cut in the tyre, but they disappear from the surface, put stick through on the inside (if you've alread checked, sorry to patronise! Also, a slightly dented rim grind away at a tube. Run a finger around the rim (fnarr fnarr!). I got a lot of punctures recently from a rough valve hole (yip yip!) in the rim - check this too!

I ended up putting a new tyre and tube in as well as wrapping some electrical tape around the rim on top of the rim tape. Seems to be holding up ok so far.

...when you pull up to a petrol station and the pumps are busy, so you wait inline behind the car in front while he fills up with petrol but THEN he goes and does his weekly fuckin shop in the mini-mart and leaves his car at the pump!!

i never said dairy cows can be eaten, but bulls do do fucking, not in the super farms but smaller ones keep it old school - big bull, some bike chain lube and sweet music

I hate Bike light manufacturers.
It's really simple chaps. invent a fucking light that you can lock the on/off switch. it isn't that fucking hard! i use more battery lighting up the inside of my bag than i do on the roads.
