  • It’s all part of the blame culture. Years of social and media interaction that supports and reinforces the notion that it’s the fault of anyone but yourself.

  • They are kind of right that there weren't food shortages. Eg loads of flour as long as you wanted it in 25kg sacks.

  • Its like there isn’t a fuel shortage (the refineries have plenty) but there is a supply problem.

My issue is really about how all these things are apparently nefarious schemes by the government.

Raising prices like that is price gouging and is totally illegal lol. It’s an absurd thing to suggest Tesco and the like would get away with it.

He’s also convinced that they only make electric cars at the moment, and that they’ve stopped all production of petrol and diesels.

It’s all irrelevant as he’s currently about 3m behind the car in front on the motorway in torrential rain, so we’re probably going to snuff it in the next 10 minutes.

This government would struggle to run a bath. I can’t see how they could run any nefarious type scheme, as they’d fuck it up.

  • That’s all part of the plan. They’ve pulled the wool over your eyes. Wake up

  • I'd let anyone mad enough to take that pish off the shelves as many bottles as they could carry.

  • I grew up on that shit. It's awesome (says the guy that hasn't eaten any for 25 years)

  • We can't afford the gas/elec to cook that.

  • another 3 minutes go by and in the middle of dialogue heavy scene: gf pulls out phone and starts watching internet videos with volume up

This happens all the time with my wife. If I even look at my phone while something's on though I get "you're not watching!"

  • ...fly tippers. Nasty selfish cunts.

Except the government is to suspend competition laws any second, aren't they?

(would have my tinfoil hat on but the shelves were empty...)

  • Carmen.

Who sent me an email as she left the office to say the item I ordered isn’t available.

That it isn’t available is ok. But to send it at 15.59 when she leaves at 16.00 is what pisses me off. Item was ordered for next day delivery but she didn’t bother to notify me of the issue until hours after the shipping deadline.

While writing this I have been on hold to Carmen’s colleague who has just told me the other half of the order is also not available.

100% failure rate. It was a nail gun and stainless brads so I could do something nice as a surprise for my wife as I was going to clad her office in oak while she is away this week on a business trip. Crucially I wanted it to be surprise and also to do the work while she wasn’t here so the noise wouldn’t interrupt her working day.

Instead she will return to walls that have had insulation panels installed but not cladding over the top.

  • everything is a conspiracy

On that note, I hate Facebook.

  • bet if you did a reverse image search on those profile pics most of them would be from a stock library.

  • Burning the fucking shit out of my hand because I'm a stupid bastard. I was sensible enough to use an oven glove to pull the pan out of the oven after an hour but not sensible enough to use the oven glove to remove the lid.

  • Good read. Thank you.

  • Two weeks ago, I unscrewed the top of my espresso machine.

I don't quite know what i was thinking.

The jet of steam and boiling water on my hand was a reminder to pay better attention.

  • I often use an oven mit to remove a tray from the oven, flip the food (or whatever) then pick up the tray barehanded to return it to the oven

  • A classic move.

  • peel a potato, and place the flesh side of the peel on the burn, lightly bandage to hold in place, pain will go almost immediately and the peel will prevent scarring and blistering

  • Might have missed the boat this time but good to know for next time! I've just been sat sulking with my hand in a bowl of cool water which has had an alright result.

  • Have a search for moist wound healing techniques for the after care.

  • Tonnes of it out Harefield way. Fucking disgusting. If I ran this place they'd be on rubbish pickup duties for every spare minute of their lives for the next 5 years.
