  • ...How heavy is the average poo?

Where is Dammit and his Russell Hobbs?

  • You sure? I though people obsessed with bike weight were so anally retentive that they couldn't poo.

Mate. I'm on a diet with increased protein, fibre, and heathly oils.

Dont tempt me to get my camera phone out.

Dont tempt me to get my camera phone out.

I'd go careful with that offer. Remember, we are on the Internet here and there will be 1000s of 'specialists' who will now be wanting you to get your camera phone out.

  • Carbon roadie - 5.85 kg

You can't leave us hanging like that!

    What have you got?

  • If these specialists would like to take there credit card details to.....

    Smallfurrysextrememovements.com

I'll get the glass coffee table ready.

    +1

My frame and forks are probably 800g overweight. But swapping them out, on what is, a pretty fecking light build (kevlar cable, alu cassette etc.), would only get me to 6Kg.

  • 18 lbs of vintage muscle >:3

  • You can't leave us hanging like that!

    What have you got?

Not very exciting, but it is light and capable of enduring my 80 kg. Still a joy to ride...

  • Lovely bike.

  • Why, thanks, and for the kind help!

  • You're welcome.

  • That is lovely!

  • Low pursuit size 54 is 1,3kg. That is quite light for a tarck. Same size mash is around 1,5?

  • Where is Dammit and his Russell Hobbs?

    Soon.

  • I think my lightest is ~8kg..

Now that was a mean battle with a turd!

  • Cross bike*, which I've been using for all my riding since the weather turned, is 10.6kg
Fixed, which I use for commuting, is 8.4kg

Road bike, including PowerControl V, was 6.85kg before the latest round of upgrades.

I may know where we are with that tomorrow, if I can be bothered to change it from it's current incarnation as turbo mule.

I reckon I've dropped ~200g off that, but we'll see.

    *Includes Garmin 705

  • I carry at least 2kg of water on my rides.

  • I carry at least 2kg of water on my rides.

    Fizzy water, s'all I'm saying...

  • Hippy is, in fact, a massive blouse- the leader in this field is Smallfurry, who carries 2 litres of Pentane with him for on bike refreshment.

  • My Audax bike will weigh aroudn 9kg when finished. Even less if I swap out seat post for carbon and move my triple to a double. Not really something I want to do on that bike.

As velocio said don't get too hung up about weight unless your racing.

Stays liquid at minus 10, and refreshes the parts, other solvents cant reach.

I have used my cages to transport styrene samples at work. Doesnt say anything against it in our employee handbook.

The water is to wash the blood off.

  • Very public spirited of you.

    I weighed my bike- 6.65kg.

If I changed the stem that everyone else hates that'd drop it to 6.6kg.

Now- how much heavier than Force shifters+mechs would Di2 shifters/mechs/battery be?

  • Isn't Ultegra lighter?

  • Mech is lighter than elec
    DA is lighter than Ultegra
